Road rides in Plett over the hols?

Hey..

 

Last year there were morning outrides every day from Kevin Evans' bike shop on the main road through town..

 

Lots more interesting rides on the mtb though..

It depends on how long you are there for.

 

Kevin (AKA the Pied Piper) leads a group ride from his shop @ about 6 out along the N2 where it usually splits at the Toll Gate.

The bunch gets huge, so there is no hanging around and regrouping on the climbs etc. If you are not so confident on your climbing abilities, leave early and get to the top of the N2 at the Crags @ 6:30 and just tag onto the group as it comes past. Quite a few people do that.

Some people turn back at the Toll Gate, while others carry on to Cold Stream, or turn off to Natures Valley or Bloukraans etc.

 

Harkerville has one of the best trails in the country - The Red Route. Get your permit at the Garden of Eden forest, park across the road and ride from there. Awesome.
