Bontrager RXL Carbon, Spez s-works, spez pro, shimano m230

Anyone used Bontrager RXL? From reviews it seems that they aren't very durable. How does their sizing compare to shimano?

Guy at shop tells me to rather go for the spez bg pro and not the spez s-works(older model with 1 rotary closure), because the pro is more durable and easier to maintain.

Or should I go for shimano m230, which has a carbon fibre sole plate, but it has Custom-Fit technology.

If I buy online, where can I do the custom moulding?

Any comments on the 4 shoes?

Coming from the olympic shoes I now have the Spez pro and I'm very happy, they are also now down in price to about 1K less than what I paid.

Had mine a year and a half now, seems to be durable enough after I trashed 2 pairs of olympics.

What I like is the ratchet is very adjustable and you get lots of in-soles as well with wedges, but even with flat feet the standard stuff doesnt give me hot feet.

The soles are very hard so river crossings are dodgy, but the rubber has worn quite a bit for such a hard compound, weird.

Eggbeaters work straight away but get the metal plate or it dents the carbon sole.

Full carbon sole is nice, but Ill have to try other shoes to say whether its stiffer or not but it is cool and durable !

They arent too narrow so fit my feet with no real bridge, but I do feel the heelcup tends to slip, although I think mine may be a size too big.

Come with a bag and mud studs as well.

Have looked at the M230 and looks very sturdy, albeit a bit heavey and plasticky, though I've heard complaints of them being difficult to walk with.
