kandui Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Anybody out there know of any rides around the Beaverlac campsite? There is a dirt road leading to the Groot Winterhoek Reserve, but is there anything beyond?
OscarS Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Not really. You can ride down to Olifants river but you can do that with the family. Nice for a night ride though. The ride to Groot Winterhoek will be your best bet. Mostly uphill to Groot Winterhoek and nice and fast all the way back
kandui Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Thanks. I did the ride from the Beaverlac campsite to the Groot Winterhoek Gate. Nice climb out of the valley. Had a blow out on the way back and ran next to my bike for the last 4km. My thighs are killing me today!

Ian PR Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 can one ride to Die Hel? There is a 4wd trail that you can take down to Die Hel if you get special permission (I did it in 2007)so you shoul be able to ride down - I would take lots of water - there is a boom gate you go through (I think I remember correctly) Ian
