XT or Hope PRO2 hub

So the thread that holds the free body is stripped on my XT rear wheel set. I have a slight amount of play in the rear wheel now. Have tighted the free body three times in the last 3 weeks. Its time to get it slorted once and for all.

 

Do I go with a new XT hub or upgrade to a HOPE PRO2 hub? Oh yes the HOPE is way sexier

So far it looks like it is the hope, based mainly on the sexyness of it. As they say sex sells.

Well it seems I have been brought back down to reality with a left handed sideways klap. I happen to have a 24 spoke hub and HOPE do not make one . So it is the XT one. Will be cheaper though.

Ian, ditch the XT and do Hope. Check out there straight pull hubs, I think there might be a 24 spoke version.

good luck finding one of those hubs I have searched every where and no luck

 

if you do find one let me know

 

my understanding is the labour and if you need new spokes you almost may as well get a new wheelset

 

I have a slight rough running rear hub but it still spins forever was told the cones are damaged
