Back to slicks...they just don't look the part on a mtb, in fact it looks stupid! Rather fit a set of low-profile mtb tyres made for fast rolling and hard pack terrain. Rubena Zeferos and the Vredestein Killer Bee are two options to consider. It will make you faster on the tarmac, reduce rolling resistance, and can be used to do an ocassional dirt track loop!
