Was this the first ride after the service? If you rode after the service and it didn't happen, then I would suspect that maybe we bent the front cage when we loaded up for Bonivale.

Not sure if it relates to the limit screw' date=' but what I do know is that I have never dropped a chain whilst shifting down on the front derailleur.  Suddenly it is hapening and buggering up my race.  So what do I do to change it, completely change my shifting style because of the change in my equipment?  IMHO a chain should never be dropped in normal operation if your setup is correct.  Might have been a knock against the deraileur or setup issues.  In the end all I want is for it never to happen again.  It sucks!!![/quote']

sorry if this sounds stupid, but shifting down under heavy load is gonna throw you off everytime. best to decide on a gear for a hill long before you even tackle it.

jb. sorry if i misunderstood you on another thread. didn't you say a chain can't stretch?

Yak, not blaming the service necessarily (you know I think that LBS is the best!), but it is a new occurance.  Also thought it might have been something picked up intransport to Bonnievale.  Will have a closer look....
