Zeps Posted February 18, 2011 Share Despite the assurance from at least 2 bike shops my experience is that the plastic Bontrager tubeless strips do not 'just work' in any rim. I have a set of wheels where they just slot in no worries, another set where they need some coaxing and then a set of I believe Alex DM18 or something like that where they will not fit When I say will not fit I mean that it is not possible to get the 'edges' to be within the rim edge. Last night I decide that perhaps some further investigation was necessary, checked it out and trimmed about a millimeter or so off of each edge and 'hey presto' worked a charm Anyway might be useless information but hopefully will help someone someday Use it don't use it ......
