  1. Have uploaded pics of the U/16, VETS 35 - 39, 30 -34 (Friday, 29thMay) to the website (see signature) Ronelle2009-06-01 13:29:06
  2. i thought exactly the opposite. I thought he was quite friendly for a man who was just voted off a race. And immediately, he used the time for some hill training!
  3. @ sammajoor - no sorry, never saw them race. Its actually quite difficult to cover the 5 races that take place at the same time -- I don't know how the TV guys do it! Jaco rode a most superb race - and his team members (esp Brand) rode selflessly. They came with a plan and they executed it to the hilt, and IMO the raced positively, which was great!!! (mmm .. I think Brand is a force to be reckoned with .... ) Auction Lamb road a GREAT race too!! No more fooling around for you in league rides! edit: oh i forgot ... i will post all the other pics on my website sometime this week. @Void2 - sorry, i won't be mailing any. If you want some pics urgently, maybe you should try the official photographers? Ronelle2009-06-01 04:07:26
  4. Konaman - I hope these 3 give you some idea of who was present in the U16 race
  5. If you quickly tell me who you want to see, i'll post it for you. (this auntie is tired from gymnastics on the bike and lying in rocky gutters)
  6. Jaco -- 10seconds from catching DavidG & Brand
  7. A very quick (and jumbled) upload from today's racing. (Will post U/16 later!)
  8. Ishen & Isabel after the race What a pleasure to work with these guys! ...amongst the roses On my way home ... I, for one, cannot believe that people are unhappy about this so called remote destination! Its so beautiful here, the people are friendly, the roads are quiet - and hey, if this town can host the KKNK, it can certainly host a couple of cyclists! Thanks CSA -- great choice of venue!! and we had snow on the mountains, but it wasn't all that cold today
  9. Isabel Moolman all on her own for most of the race
  10. Ok, back to the VETS 45 -49 (approx 15k into the race) One unhappy rider! Chain broke
  11. Quick selection from 4 of this afternoon's 5 races VETS 45-49 into the first corner approaching the first nice bump Ladies 35 -39 Ishen Stopforth caught in nomansland one of the VETS 55+ finds himself in a similar position
  12. thanks Gansbaai! (interesting to note that the exif doesnt pick up the flash activity..)
  13. thanks and thanks WindblownPE! Some of the guys I spoke to today, wish for BAD weather and rain -- i, well, don't! I don't really want to find out if my camera is as waterproof as it is said to be ...
  14. Also saw some teams sussing out their routes for the weekend's racing.
  15. Vets Christie Engelbrecht (Gold - Vets 30 -34) Christie at the finish Jaco Silver Medal Vets 30 - 34

  17. Lovely shot!!!! (that last one you posted!!)
  18. Gansbaai - was this taken with a pop up flash, or a mounted one? Looks very much like 2nd curtain sync to me? WindblownPE, dangerdassie, raymondC? 1/60 is VERY slow - and even tho the flash does freeze the movement, there is almost too little motion blur visible for that setting?
  19. ... thru Gary Perkin's lens! http://www.flickr.com:80/photos/garyperkin/3566602528/
  20. Uploaded all the TT pics (at last - you might say ...) http://torquepics.co.za Also played around with beth's pic --- I liked this blown out, harsh look -- i thought it matches a hard TT on a hot day ...
