Don't stress it! Silverbacks are great. Reliable and fun. And even a mediocre air sprung fork will pretty much always be better than a coil sprung fork. If it's a 2016 model Spectra and has an air sprung fork, then I assume it's a Spectra Comp, which will most definitely have better components than the "Makrodales". Ride and enjoy!

Failed to spot the "Makrodales" in Bloemfontein... As usual, I'm guessing we'll be left out of the loop! Not that I care anymore... Found a second hand bike in the classifieds with better specs for cheaper that satisfies my urge to commute!

If it's legit, then I might support it, depending on build/components. I want a cheap bike (sub R5k) that I can possibly commute with, without fearing it might explode/implode during a relaxed cruise... But since I am subscribed to Makro's spam and didn't get the SMS, I'm assuming that Bloemfontein will be left out of the loop, as usual.

In 2017 this was the first ever mountain bike race I've done and a stage race at that! Wanted to enter again for the 2018 event, but I couldn't due to new father duties. If all goes as planned, I will definitely enter for the 2019 event!

1,88 m tall, large mtb frame, 29er. For a comfortable fit on Silverback and Specialized. Have noticed a slight cramped feeling on other brands, but haven't paid much attention as they were not mine and I would only investigate further if I'm considering a change of wheels.
