  3. Hi all, I wonder if you can assist me with these questions. I am new to MTB and have 2 questions about tubeless wheelsets 1. What is the advantage if any to tubless wheels? 2. I have heard that you can convert a tube wheelset to tubless, is this a good or bad idea . Thanks in advance

  11. How about a search function on this Site. Looking for somethink would be a whole lot easier simpler and heck i could even find stuff people are selling.
  12. Yep, ***. So lets get someone with a v5 and have some coffee. my treat all i ask is for a copy.
  13. Hi Everyone, seems this q. has evolved quite a bit. Let me clarify where we as ppp4 users stand. I have been informed from polar directly that version 5 will only be upgraded with "new product sets" ie: if you go buy a new polar product in the near future you will get v5 of the software. v4 will continue to be supported. If you are a current v4 user you will have to purchase version 5 as a new product outright. No upgrade path will be available to current version 4 users. Now that in my opinion sucks. I would be quite happy to purchase an upgrade. (anyone who has evaluated the 5 code will notice a "few" improvements but it aint no new major release. Installing v5 trial is a no brainer as it expires in 30 days and cannot be activated at a later date. see responce from ploar.... --- stuff deleted--- Your e-mail to the Polar Helpdesk dated 05.12.2006 refers. Thank you for your e-mail. As the Polar Helpdesk has correctly pointed out, the Polar Protrainer 5 software will be available for purchase early in the New Year. The web site is referring to the update of the software in new product sets meaning that the Polar Precision Performance 4 software will be updated to Polar Protrainer 5 software in new products sets of the AXN500, AXN700, S625x, S720i and S725x at the end of 2006 and the beginning of 2007. ----stuff deleted------- So if you want version 5... trash your current investment in 4 and go purchade 5 at retail... Now .. thats why i wanna copy it... Ill purchase and upgrade but hell if ill pay retail as an existing user.. Thanks for all the input.. Maybe Garmin is a better route....thinking about that
  14. Has anyone bought a polar product with this version 5 of the PPP software. I believe its only available on certain new product ranges and as yet no ugrade is available for current v4 users. The download v5 availabe is only a trial copy and of no use. However if you have purchased a new product from polar you may get version 5 as part of te deal. I have contacted polarhelp desk international/local and they seem quite tight lipped about any upgrade free or otherwise. The idea that i need to purchase a new product simply to get hold of the latest version sticks in my throat.. Yet they seem to think this is ok some how. I would like to copy your version 5, maybe they will wake up and make an upgrade available to their current clients and not fob us off.

  16. I don't think asking for a discount is a sin, I think expecting one for simply asking is. On the same note i think its a sin not promoting your goods at the best price. So in my opinion a discount is a give and take. What do you expect to give up in return for the discount. Give back any free services, bring back option or after sales service. Pay cash no CC. Then perhaps yes a discount is negotiable. I find its best to ask "Is this the best deal you have to offer" this way no one is offended.
