  1. She came in because of another covid positive. The husband of the original rider that started the race is now also positive. Bad news
  2. I'm just recovering from.a week with quite bad covid. My neighbors also got it they were going to ride mixed and came all the way from Sweden, luckily we don't know who passed it to whom. I'm a bit concerned seeing all the people mixing with no protocols that the event can get stopped if theyre not careful. There's already covid positives amongst the riders. And I hate masks, lockdowns but I don't see a lot of common sense out there.. I just want everyone to be able to finish
  3. he's got serious fomo
  4. Wasn't Craig a last minute replacement? and top masters are behind winning ladies? But I will tell Erik
  5. Why? I think he can as the only real top team with Platt is out
  6. Another possible cause for picking up a bug could be dirty river crossings, mud, cowdung all splashing up to the water bottles. I think a good hydration pack could help if thats the case. Anyway, it feels a bit like when Roglic crashed out of the Tour and race is for 2nd or 3rd. Hope there's more competition next year in all categories, just spoke to a very motivated "master" in Stellenbosch thats looking at who's leading that category and thinking he can go for the top spot.
  7. I was so looking forward to see Canyon Northwave attack on the climbs tomorrow but they are out. Another tummy bug. At least they got a stage win yesterday but very sad for the race
  8. At first glance I thought it was Natasha Mazzone, the DA twitter person
  9. looks like the men leaders are getting tested on a climb
  10. Well done Matt Beers and partner. I still think Fridays stage could be the decisive one's where they will be tested on the big climbs
  11. i follow on twitter
  12. Huh? The Cape Epic posted h'es out with a tummy bug. Talk to them
  13. Giro helicopters? on a perfect day. Pity we're missing the Canyon attack..
  14. i did an Epic with a tummy bug for more than half the week. Couldnt eat breakfast so my petrol ran out pretty early every morning. And partnered with a strong partner that wanted to race wasnt a nice experience. The tummy bug line in the medical tent is usually pretty long, as is backpain and saddle sores
  15. first big tummy bug victim, Karl Platt out. Will it spread through the rest of the team..
  16. i hear Bulls racing with light wheels and tyres lets see if some teams will test it on last technical descends
  17. Expect attacks from km70 from the best climbers in the field today, will want to get to long last descend in front. Lets go Canyon
  18. CTCT is like an epic training ride or prologue, and a week to recover
  19. A stage win is pretty big business. You also don't know maybe your race is over tomorrow, or you will not win GC. Maybe a Green jersey will be cool. Good to see my pre race favorites Canyon Northwave up there. Im not sure Beers and his partner had the correct tactics today by breaking away for most of the day and then got caught. I think he needs to look after the xco man on this long week. Bulls with 2 teams can decide a lot on what happens and tactics
  20. Agreed. Canyon Northwave to win easy if theres no mechanical. Especially stage with the climbing
  21. Canyon Northwave for the win. Only negative is no backup team
  22. Congrats to Colombians1 on winning the Grootlem se dooswyn poel. Let me know when you're in Stellenbosch and I can hand over your ****. I finished 2nd in my own poel
  23. Hope you went with Groenewegen. Cees Bol sprinting for Sunweb
  24. I ended up replacing Ewab, should've replaced Matthews. Hearing Cees Bol will sprint for sunweb today, not Matthews
  25. Bringing in my bench Fuglsang and Bernal for Valverde and Viviani. Doing it reverse alphabetical starting with Z
