  1. I guess nobody in Bloemfontein rides bicycle..?
  2. I'm going to be visiting in Bloemfontein this weekend and am looking for a nice fast group ride. I'd ideally like to ride both Saturday and Sunday. Any groups I can join?
  3. My Ducati 848 Streetfighter. Perfect balance between speed, fun, power, light weight, nippyness and looks.
  4. Don't stress too much. All the strong guys are at SA's in Durban this weekend.
  5. Great price on the Racing Ralphs, but who takes their old tyres or bike along when buying tyres!? Was told I only qualify for the sale price if I hand in my old tyres WTF!? Went there on Friday, asked to get a quote on a road frame, wheels, components etc for a complete build. Told the salesman I am buying a bike this week. I was handed a pack of post-its to write down what I want with my name and number. Was promised to be called on Monday (yesterday) with prices.............. Oh well, I guess it's easier to just sell ready built bikes to uninformed newbies than to do some work for a R50 000 sale.
  6. Does anyone know where we can see the photos that were taken at the race yesterday?
  7. I would love to support you and get my bike serviced as it is in desperate need thereof. You are however extremely difficult to get hold of. Maybe you have enough business already, but you are losing potential clients if you don't get back to them.
  8. Thanks guys! Johan, very informative, thanks. Silly me..
  9. Yip, exactly what I did, but still...
  10. Damn Blackberry, have to start a thread and then edit... I don't think it's upside down. It was fine before and I didn't take anything on the cap part apart. The parts can only be put together in one way in any case. I have done this before on my previous bike, no problem. Any other suggestions? How difficult can it be? I took things apart in 3 steps and reversed it again putting it back.
  11. My stupid question for the day: I took out a spacer on the fork and did it as follows. Loosened the bolts on the sides of the stem, loosened the headset cap and took the bar/stem off. Put it back in reverse order, but no matter how much I tighten the cap, it still has a lot of play. I see it has two allen key inserts. I used the smaller diameter one. Can someone please tell me how to fix the problem? Comeback2010-02-17 02:21:58
  12. Quite inspirational guys! And here I am battling to get the last 1.5kg's off to get to 61kg. I also started again just before 94.7 last year after a three year off. Things are looking better every week and I'm hoping to do the Paris-Brest-Paris next year.
  13. Got my new one last Friday. Thanks to my wife! Will upgrade the wheels when I have some cash again. http://img37.imageshack.us/img37/7964/dscf0069n.jpg Comeback2009-12-02 05:22:53
