  4. Mmmm looks like this is a trickier question than I thought... thanks anyway guys...
  5. Hi Guys, since I had my bike at my LBS my brakes are really noisy, they installed new brake calipers and brake pads. What can I do to correct this? Is the calipers a bit loose or something that can maybe cause them to increase noise on braking? Another thing that bothers me is that when using my front brake, it feels like my shock moves forward and backwards as if it is loose when braking, what can cause this to happen?
  6. Hi Guys, I did a search to see what is the "correct" tyre pressure on a MTB, I know it depends on whether you will be riding on sand, road or just hard dirt... I like riding it kinda soft but am worried that it migth damage my tyre if I get a knock from a rock sticking out... Any advice on this would be appreciated! Thanks!!
  7. Funny thing about my LBS... saw they are hubbers...
  8. What I really find amazing about these pics is that the robots is still working... A bit of a drizzel in joburg and alandale and olifants traffic lights out!!
  9. Depends on the type of fishing you are doing...
  10. Very very nice.... Soooo jealous...
  11. I bought a frame new'ish frame and took my bike to my LBS to rebuild on the new frame... Firstly the did a horde of other stuff that we did not discuss ending up costing me more that 1000 to do the rebuild! So I paid the overprised service they provided on to see this weekend when I had a proper ride all the mistakes the made!! 1. Grips on the bike is loose so they turn when I am on a downhill. 2. Speedo does not work because the sensor and the little magnet does not align (AT ALL). 3. My cables not in the correct housing for instance my right brake lever's cable runs in the left housing, this makes the cable jump out when you ride on rough terrain! 4. Brake levers not calibrated correctly so they are very loose causing them to rattle which they did not do at all There are a couple of other small things as well but one thing is sure! These guys will NEVER see me again!
  12. Here is a pic of my bike before and after the rebuild BEFORE AFTER:
  13. Thanks for all the comments guys!! So I took the bike to my LBS to rebuild from one frame to the other.. What a bunch of sharks!!! I gave the bike in they said it's going to be R150 + 300 for a seatpost as the other one did not fit the new frame.. Went to fetch the bike they changed the brake calipers and a bunch of other stuffs as well.. total account R1050!! Needless to say... They will not see me again...
  14. Not at all... If I was cruising at 20km/h along the road I would not stick to the middle of the road, I will move out of the way as far left as I can so that I do not hold up anyone else... A slow moving vehcile or slow moving cyclists exactly the same in my opinion... What I was saying is if if are going at 20km/h have some courtesy and drive/ride in such a way that you do not hold up others...
