  1. Fun day out ! .Sending wishes to the lady who got her wheel wedged in the drain/grating on the first left turn and had a very nasty fall, hope all is alright. Disappointed that there was only Coke Zero at the end?, or was that just me? Took me close to 30 min before I could send some sugars back in my body. Lots of congestion exiting the field at the finish AND no beers at the bottom beer tent for a good 30min. tbh the after race vibe wasn’t as good as I hoped, both down stairs and up. and agreed to the dodgey car guards. Road condition , road closure, mechanical support and water point staff were all top notch. Oh, I was tailing a ballie for a couple meters and he sent one out of his nose which I received all the blowback . When I proceed to tune him next time move to the side , he said “ f0£ off I shouldn’t be up his arse”. I legit think he did it on purpose, is this a common thing? Yrr
  2. Other info - tapered headset, boost spacing.
  3. Good day , I’m trying to identify this frame, it has had a custom respray. I have added a few photos to help. The down tube has a bit of a geometric shape (not rounded). It has a serial number , but nothing comes up on the net. Appreciate any help.
  4. However 9 out of 10 times. its an into, middle and end... buyers leave it at that, and you never hear from them again..
  5. Am i the only one who gets ''Is It Available?'' and then no further reply or interest after that?, its like loads of hubbers are just out there to see the availability of items and not really interest in purchasing them????. My question is : how do we deal with that? Do we just keep calm and say yes?, or make the first line in your ad description ''if the ad is up it is available '' , or give the buyers a poor rating after just asking and then ghosting? On the latter, with regards to ratings, what if you give a buyer a poor review for a reason, as mentioned above, and out of spite he gives you a bad review. is there anything you can do with regards to that? PS - Perhaps Bikehub could come up with a feature were you can update the status/availability of your ad daily or after a few days.
  6. Reviving this. Looking for a carbon repair in GAUTENG area (Jhb/pta), i have heard of CBR, but heard they can be pricey. Tried to get hold of bespoke carbon but not answer (perhaps closed these days?), can anyone recommend anyone “smaller” guy that does carbon repairs? Not looking for fancy art work, just want the frame repaired so I can ride the bike!
  7. Hi guys. Can I use a 3mm off set chainring on a non-boost bike, Perhaps with the use of spacers? And any experience with a 36t chainring? On semi flat road riding, Is it going to be a bit tough?
  8. Thanks man. Do you perhaps know if I can change it from the full to the 40km at registration? Or would you have to pay a fee?
  9. Hi hubbers. If you have an entry for the full 94.7, is it possible to drop down and start with the guys (even if it’s at the back) for the 60km ride?
  10. Find out what car (year as well) they were on and Just give any Thule branch a call and explain to them . A foot pack is about r700 if I’m correct. Rail length and foot pads do differ slightly. I bought a set off a Subaru Forester and only had to change footings to fit on my i20
  11. Yr this makes me angry!. What do you think the sentence for these f###s will be? I hope they don’t get off lightly!! Hoping for a speedy recovery for Wayne!
  12. Glad to hear that then! Thanks man
  13. Thanks man, any chain slips or anything there? And what size front and rear chainrings you running ? And how you finding that? I was planning a 18t rear, and 32 front . Most riding is on flat
  14. Alright thanks for that, parts haven’t arrived just yet when they arrive I will have a look and fiddle! Thanks
  15. Hoping I can get some advice. I’m wanting to convert to SS. I recently just purchased a chain tensioner , a 18t rear chainring/cog and spacers for the freehub . I’m wanting to know if I can put a 10 speed chain on this set up? Or will I require a SS chain? And if yes, hoekom? - also, roughly what tension / length should the chain be? Or will the chain tensioner sort that out? Thanks In advance for any tips or advice!
