  1. Awesome. Then I’ll keep the praxis crank. Going to get the chain replaced today, hope it solves my problem. Please explain what problem the free hub should have to cause chain suck that I can look out for that problem
  2. This is what I’m thinking as well.
  3. Not yet. Bike has not even done a thousand km
  4. I’m experiencing chain suck on my Specialized Diverge on every ride. I have to replace my chain now again for the second time after the last ride because it got twisted up between the bottom bracket and the chain ring. Ultegra all round, praxis crank and chain rings. Smoove chain lube. It happens in all configurations, small ring to big ring - big ring to small ring - rear derailleur clutch engaged or disengaged - tar road or gravel road - it just happens. I suspect I’ll have to change the crank to shimano to sort the problem out. Any advice, spell, magic potion or old dark art of bicycle maintenance to help me finish a ride without oily hands and fingers?
  5. Nice story bro, please see a screenshot of a reply you made to a post on your website 4 months ago stating exactly the opposite. link https://adventurelogistics.co.za/makgadigadi-mtb-adventure/ You said and I quote: Yes, as per our booking conditions, specifically amended for Covid 19 related issues, we are offering full refunds in the event that the borders don’t re-open in time. We will also send you an email directly confirming this and giving some more details Therefore I am sure you might have updated your terms and conditions for your protection since this was posted. Please also note that this is the 2nd time this trip has been cancelled. It is not certain when this pandemic will allow another successful trip to be in force without border issues. I am sure this will validate a full refund as per your aforementioned statement. Regards
  6. I am also one of those people trying to get my money out of this guy. He doesn't respond to emails or answers phone calls. I think its time to get a thread going to warn people.
  7. I am looking at buying a Spesialized diverge comp but it seems there is no stock. Does any one know of a size 54, preferably gloss carbon colourway that is looking for an owner. Please let me know if you do.
  8. Howzit guys I had a 2014 cannondale f29er with a lefty pbr 90. The frame had a problem and I received a replacement frame. The new frame is a FSI model. The problem is that the FSI frame has a much shorter head tube length. Is there a way to get the Lefty PBR working on the new frame?
  9. When I took the bike back to get the ocho leak sorted out I was hinting at the fact to get a new replacement bike. What does the cpa say? Do I have protection? Can I, and will it be fair of me to demand another new replacement bike?
  10. I have the lefty pbr 90 on my hard tail. Up to now with about 14000km on, it has been reliable as an anvil and smooth as silk. Riding on even the smoothest of gravel you can see the lefty working the whole time soaking up the bumps giving you a "Cadellac smooth" ride. The ocho does not give me that same feel and doesn't feel as smooth. In the ocho's defense it is a bit more tunable so I'm probably to dof to get it tuned in correctly for that "lefty smooth zen" I'm used to. My ocho also has an annoying sound hitting bumps that my older lefty does not do. It makes a tshhhh sound every time it compresses. I thought I was just unlucky with mine but it seems there is a problem with some parts and the assembly. https://forums.mtbr.com/cannondale/ocho-leaks-knocks-1101309.html I agree the scalpel does the whole xxc thing really well, even leaning against the wall its super fast.
  11. Howzit bikehub. First time poster. First off, I don't know if this post is a rant or me just venting. Maybe I just need some advise? I like Cannondale. I have a few Cannondale bikes, a Cannondale t-shirt and I might even name my new worshond ocho. I'm no pro but this new Scalpel is the best mountain bike I have ever ridden. Its fast, comfy and sexy as hell. I even look back over my shoulder every time i walk away..............BUT just like my Land Rover there is always something wrong with the thing. In the first three months it has been back to the shop five or six times. The crank has loosened itself on three times already giving it 10mm side play. The bottom bracket bearings has already been replaced. During race to the sun the lefty ocho popped a seal relieving itself of some oil. Fixed under warranty but now the stanchion has a couple of very light scratches and the anodizing has faded. Another issue I have is the gx eagle. The shifting is plain *** and seems like it just can't be indexed to perfection. I have been assured by the bike shop mechanic that it is set the best it can be set, but its still clicking as Murphy would have it in the 3 cogs I use the most. First world problems I know but on every ride now between the click click click from the derailleur and the sffffffffffffffffff noise from the front hub I feel kinda cheated. I mean for the kind of money you pay, should it not be perfect or do I have a bad case of buyers remorse?
