  1. Howdy guys, I've entered the munga and have been riding with aerobars for about 2 months now and am not having a great time with my current saddle, an SQ Lan 612 ergowave. active. This saddle is excellent for the normal sitting position without aero bars but I can cant hold the 'aero' position for a long time with this saddle. I've asked around and was recommended to try an ISM PM 2.0 saddle. Apparently you can comfortably move forward on this saddle to achieve and maintain the aero position. Do any of you fellow hubbers have any experience with this saddle? Is it recommended or are there other saddles that I can consider? * my current saddle is 14cm wide, perfect for my sit bones, but I see that the ISM saddle is 13cm wide - does this have any major effect when changing riding positions? TIA!
  2. Looks like this worked (after doing it three times). Will confirm after my ride this weekend. Thanks for help!
  3. I've deleted all saved location, courses and history. The maps on the unit is the base map, updated North Africa map (all came with the unit when i bought it new) and most recent trailfork maps. I've also selectively enabled and disabled maps to see if there was a particular map that was giving issues, but still no joy. Im considering a factory reset to see if anything will change.
  4. Hi All. I have a Garmin Edge 530 which I'm struggling with. On new GPX routes that I've downloaded to the unit, an error keeps popping up which I simply cant figure out. Either it shows that 'there are no routable roads' or simply there is a general navigation error. I've updated my unit through Garmin Express, fiddled with settings on the devise per other online platforms but the problem persists! This first happened last year at the Munga Pretoria Swords series, again this year and for race to the sun. This year I'm doing the NW Grit and don't want struggle (or get lost). Does anyone have suggestions?? TIA!
  5. Howdy, An update - the extreme light does indeed fit nicely on the Farr aero bar; the bar isn't perfectly round but with the extreme light's adjustable clamp, it clamps firmly on the bar.
  6. Ja. They told me the same thing. I wanted to buy the integrated Farr handle bar with 'aero' mount for the race. I didnt buy it because of what they told me, but put on inner bar ends which plenty of guys had. Its also gravel bike friendly so I dont understand why road handlebars (which I think refers to drop bars, like you mentioned) are prohibited. Its not like most of us are competing for a podium finish...
  7. Oh man, that's sexy. Only sure fire way is to take my light with to cycle lab and test it on the stock they have, and I really hope it fits!
  8. Ive seen a couple of guys use the Farr aero bar at the 36One. I used inner bar ends from SQ lab last year and didnt get into any trouble 😉. I think the guys dont want you to use aero bars as you would in the Munga, mostly because of safety concerns (I guess)
  9. Definitely not 'aero', but thats part of its name. I want to add it for additional hand positions and thought about adding the light to the aero bar to neaten the entire set up. Looks like the solution is to design something that will fit the odd shape of the aero bar and have it 3D printed
  10. It makes sense, but I've reached out to both Two Wheels Trading and Extreme Lights and neither can confirm that the two will be compatible together that why I'm checking with the hubbers whether anyone has done this before
  11. Howdy, I'm doing the 36One again this year and want to use Farr's aero bar but want to attach my Extreme Lights Endurance light to the end point of the aero bar. Has anyone done this before? I dont want to put out the money for the carbon aero bar when i cant attach the light as intended, or this no proven way to attach the light to the aero bar. Any insights welcome! Thanks!
  12. Hi All. I've been using Peptosport for a couple of years now for my endurance training and was considering switching to PVM. What is your experience? Is there any significant difference between the two? Thanks!
  13. Hi Tyron, where did you get those short bar ends, and did it add more comfort to your ride?
