Ridden bicycles most-all my life, and CRASHED bicycles for a similar amount of time, too…!
…my cycling has been very much in ‘segments’:
Racing socially in my younger years…
….followed by 10-odd years of Triathlon…
I have done a fair bit of long-distance cycle-touring; up the Australian East Coast, the Karakoram Highway from Pakistan into China, later, across England and then around Ireland, and up Norway to see the Midnite Sun, amongst others.
Dipped into some Vets racing many years back, fun times, done the odd Argus as well as a few D.C.’s, but i ride sporadically, now, as the mood takes me.
Many bicycles, but had lots of fun on short-wheelbase recumbents, as well as long-wheelbase recumbents.
Living in Hout Bay, EVERY ride starts uphill!
