  1. Ok, So couple of lessons... that I have learnt Ok, so the valve is leaking... only reason it comes out the little hole, it is the path of least resistance, when sealing the little hole, the air comes out the valve... So, have put some sealant in the tyre... Let see if Stans can sort out the leaking valve... However, its still a work in progress... hopefully I am right, and its a valve issue and not a rim issue...
  2. My first thought too, but there is no tape, it is a sealed... the only hole is where the valve goes in... Which is why I am stumped... that means the air is escaping where the valve is, and then filling the cavity, and out where the the hole is...
  3. Evening folk, have an odd issue that I trying to resolve. Fitted a new tyre on my Easton EC70 back wheel rim, and air is leaking out the little hole on the side of the rim (See Picture) I also noticed a white watery liquid coming out (I assume it was water and sealant mixture) comeing this area and where the valve is.... Any suggestions? I replaced the tyre because it was continuously going flat (Slowly), but I assumed is was due to a sidewall puncture that had sort of sealed... and I assumed that this was the cause, hence replacing the tyre.
  4. Update, found an engineering company to create the adapters... now just need a sample... So if someone can assist, it would be greatly appreciated...
  5. Ok, This is my challenge, the Thru Axle Adapter that is included in the whisper drive is missing. I have contact local agents, no stock. Emailed JetBlack HQ in Australia, 6 weeks... The other option is to get someone to make it, but need the originals so that I have the correct measurements... So if I can can borrow the Thru Axle adapter kit from someone, I can then see if I can get an engineering firm to make me a set... Should be easy to make...https://www.jetblackproducts.com/products/JBT-79 Just need the specs... PS I send Jetcblack HQ an email, and ask if they would be willing to send me the specs... but will see how that goes..
  6. Need some assistance in replacing the Thru Axle adapter...
  7. Shot bud, Also found https://www.drakensbergtrails.co.za/ They seem to have a few cut out trails, but will have to figure out if I can cycle there, I try use Strava or Garmin Connect Thanks, Will give feedback when I return... in one piece
  8. Going next week to Quantini next week... Looking to do a ride or two... If you have the routes that would be great... I going to see what I can find.
  9. Only Sometimes... My wife still doesn't understand why I need another bike...
  10. Smile... Been one of those days and was doing the post on my phone.... What I was trying to say...Don't buy stolen stuff, you are feeding criminals... and by buying stolen stuff, you are perpetuating crime. If no one bought stolen goods, it wouldn't be profitable to steal... (Hopefully that was better....)
  11. Anyone using or used the intermittent fasting approach?
  12. If criminals were unable to sell thier stolen goods, they wouldnt steal. If u bought something that was stolen, u are supporting and agreeing that theft is ok... So if they steal from you.... don't bitch... you been supporting their lifestyle...
  13. Eagle Canon Cycles are the business!!! I know I always get value for money and EXCELLENT service. Chaunce, Shelby and Gerald... are awesome... Sorry u had a bad experience... I would recommend u try again...
  14. I must say, I like the roof rack, as it doesn't have to be removed... I always worry about the bike getting clipped by the garage
  15. Trying to get some feedback on what you hate about bike racks and what you love? I have a Geoff and Thule rack... Geoff connects onto Towbar, and Thule clips onto the hatchback... Been looking at different options.. Hate - Damages bike frame.. Mission to put on... Security (Both Dont lock) Love Carries my best friend (MTB) Your thoughts? Is there even a perfect rack (and NO... Not discussing her ) What would you consider a perfect rack?
  16. Emmanuel is a stand up guy... would recommend ace cycles with confidence and know that the person would get excellent service and a good deal..
  17. Done a couple of 55km and 40km this year to qualify. In comparision, it certianly could have started earlier, being a noob, heat kicked about 40km mark... and wiped me for the last climb. Awesome waterpoints in comparison to the other races i have done. Fair amount of Marshals and ER24 around.. i didnt think the route was bad... a good combination of single track, jeep tracks and climbs... all in all, will be back next year. Hopefully prepared better...for noob that is
  18. Yip... 100% agree with that...
  19. I referring more to the support from the organizers, not the fact that you cant or shouldn't ride it. I was on a MTB... and it is somewhat slower that road bikes…
  20. Not a race for laggards or newbies... R511 was hairy to say the least with the cars and bikes... and no shoulder to ride on. I do get that full road closure is difficult... but at least have some indication that there is a cycle race on... the only indication was at the 45km mark... a lady with a board... i certianly felt alone out there with the laggards. Every now and then a marshall would pass... in all honesty, the reason for doing this race was because of road closure... Not to mention that when i did finish.. organisers were busy packing up... had to look for the guy that was handing out medals...and I know there were a few guys still out on the road...
  21. You need to look around for 2nd hand bikes. Having spend a couple of months looking, I noticed that a few sellers don't really understand the resale market... hence over priced. Here is a couple that I have seen (If I see anything else I post it) https://www.facebook.com/groups/2462775674/permalink/10156308797365675/?sale_post_id=10156308797365675 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156085760715791&set=pcb.2114192938621170&type=3&ifg=1 Find what you like, and then focus on those. I went from Scott to Merida to Silverback and back again.... and eventually ended up with a Lapierre 929 Ultimate with Brand new frame... and loving it...
