  2. no what i mean is ..specialized in kzn only supply 2 shops when i asked my local shop to buy one in for me they had told me they have been working on it for a while and that he had to buy a min order (250k) to get stock !!! free market i dont think so
  3. why do some shop have limits on products they sell ?.. if i want a scott bike from my local guy ? why cant i? we should be able to get any product through our local guy ,at the end of the day he will be servicing my bike. its like being married yet having a baby with another woman and getting your wife to look after it !!!

  5. all scores equal ..... the fact is we all agree that the shops need to make some money and that they will mark items up to a RRP sugested by the distributor ...but if the distributor and the fasted growing retailer are one in the same ..then what chance do we have ? go out and buy Cubes, Konas, BMC's rocky mountains..... and get a deal !! scotts, giants ,specialzed are being controled and managed in such a way that if you get prices all over sa they end up very very close ....controlled ??

  7. i hear you bull bar .. but the fact is ..the lock out assem's thread has been gouged flat ...and the alli piston is bent !......fox shock cost 700 to 900 rand for a service ...and a good rock shox cost 5k ....so like a car the plan is to change every 3 years and pass on the troubles to someone else

  9. simple dont buy from cyclelab !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lookout for the small one man band type and get top service and top prices ...or even better get hold of a bunch of mates and buy whole sales prices and share the savings ...set somethin up and ill have 40 mates that will buy from you ... i have a friend that services only but will buy anything you want at whole sale he adds 10/15% for his time and you settle up ..he will give you his cost and invioce !!!!!!!!!!!! hes so busy the ques are days long

  12. 3 weeks ago i damaged my fork and the cable for the remote lock out needed to be replaced (a simple job) after calling them 4 times for updates i was told the fork was not able to be repaired and that no parts were avaliable ..... got the fork back and sent it to another workshop and after we took the for apart we found they had broke the lock out assemb inside the fork !!!! how do i prove they had handled the fork badly and broke it ? dust for finger prints ?

  15. i ride a little on the tar and in your game its all about weight in the dirt i guess its about just not breaking down and having working arms after a long rocky ride .... weight at your level(MTB) should mean very little for now a MTB must just work all the time.

  17. dont go to the link you wasting your time ..buy a silverback and spend the rest of whats left on a good pair a bum gloves (shorts) and get into the bush and get dirty ....buy new and enjoy ! when you have got a better understanding of gears, shocks and gear selection. but to be frank find a good bike shop that will fit you to a frame and setup . try fourways area there is a massive store up there
  18. mt first bike was a silverback with a great deore set up with rock shox fork and xt rear derailer. bought the bike five years ago only thing i changed in all this time has been breaks, saddle and handlebars(for comfort) NB!!!! always service your bike and keep clean after every ride. and this willdo you just fine. a clean bike is a fast bike
