I don't think the fire entered Jonkershoek - it was more towards Botmaskop and was fairly high up on Sunday evening, but the wind pushed it quite low towards the farms during the evening/early morning. Will post a picture tomorrow that will show a clearer picture of the area that were burned.

My Specialized Epic Carbon Comp was also stolen on 17 July in Stellenbosch.

I have a helmet, shoes and some cycling clothes that I want to donate. Any idea what the most practical will be in getting these items to you?

As far as I know BMT is an authorised dealer Specialized dealer and they have a few Specialized bikes, shoes etc. in stock.

BMT in Stellenbosch also has great service and have some swimming/running stock as well if you are into multisport

Did a road and MTB setup with him last week and can highly recommend him. Have done 3 rides after the setup and can feel a great improvement.

Replaced it myself a couple of times without any issues.

Ek het 2 entries (30km en 42km), maar kan nie meer ry a.g.v. begrafnis van familielid nie. Racetec/BurgerMTB is nie bereid om 'n refund te gee nie (wat ek 100% verstaan en geen probleem mee het nie), maar is bereid om 'n uitsondering te maak en 'n transfer te doen. BMT is a triathlon/bike shop in Stellenbosch - it is located in Uniepark (on your way to Jonkershoek)and they started organizing night rides a couple of weeks ago. Not sure how many riders etc. Will join you guys once I have invested in some lights.

I had a lot of cramps on day 1 of the Grape Escape. Took USN Cramp Block and Slo Mag during day 2 and 3 along with eating more regularly during the race and had no more cramps on day 2 and 3.

I have the 2010 R2 and I love it! I bought mine while I was in the USA and it was between the Scott and a Spezialized Tarmac. The Scott was a better deal, but my understanding is that Scott is more expensive in SA compared to Spez. than in the USA

I bought mine in the USA and you get a Comp and Expert with Alu or Carbon frames. I have the 2010 Alu Test bike (black and red version)
