these tyres haven't even done 300km, are they prone to sidewall cuts?

I have a couple of sidewall cuts on my Maxxis CrossMark LUST tyre and was wondering if there is a way to fix the tyre so that is does not pop there? These cuts are not deep enough to leak, but i don't want to get stranded.

thanks for the assistance guys!! i took the scott, merida 120 and the merida 96 for test rides and decided that the Merida 96 1000 is the best value for money for me. i like the feel of the bike. pic below!

don't know the 3500d; more information?

thanks for the input. a friend recommend that I go for the Merida 96 1000. know it is a bit more, but is it not worth the wait? would like to hear your thoughts.
