does anyone know how to panel beat a cannondale steel frame? i'm going to build up a MTB using tedibear's old giant boulder parts, and the frame has a dent and two dings I suppose i could ignore it but when i got the frame it was the first thing i noticed.

I have such a frame for you. I am not sure on the brand but i know its a 1980's model. I will give it to you, I just have to go and fetch it from the inlaw's sometime. It will need some paint stripper, metal primer and some 2K (my brother in law attacked it with your run of the mill spray paint), but it is in a reasonably good state.

I have a Vitus 979 1980's model. Perfect for fixie or single speed, but I won't convert it. Its a classic and worth more in its original state in the long run. I say keep it as is, it will save you some trouble in the long run

Tedibear and i are currently restoring a DHC bicycle that was gathering dust in a dark corner of The Guy in Pink's magnificent Bike Room. I'm not gana lie it was blooming hard work or shall I say it IS hard work. Those guys took so much pride in their bicycles that the lugs are really intricate work (and it doesn't help that tedibear wants the frame one colour and the lugs to be slightly highlighted with a rather specific 3mm border), but I must say I haven't had this much fun since we threw turp soaked rags out the art class window over the train tracks back in college
