  1. Hi all, Still want some more advice on the below questions if possible please. Would appreciate the help. Regards Johann
  2. Sometimes I don't even want to ride this bike as even the slightest dust on the bike upsets me, l handle this bike with great care, care that my wife does not even know 😂 Never even washed my car as delicate as this beauty before 🤣 Nah I'm just kidding. I have a few questions for all you experts if you can advise and help: > Do I need to clean the group set/chain on a regular basis as I have noticed dust on the gears which makes like a putty paste after a few rides? > Also, how much chain lube do you apply after cleaning? A few drops or how does it work? > Is the best way to clean the gears with that chain cleaner liquid and a brush? Tried it but it does not seem to clean the gears 100% unless I am doing something wrong > What do you do to protect the bottom of your frame from gravel as its a gloss frame and even the slightest scratch is visible on the blue frame?
  3. Amazing bike. Loving every single moment, even climbing seems easier (Not Tierkop 😂 ) on this bike compared to my previous 2018 Scott Spark 940. We are blessed with some of the best roads and views here in George.
  4. What a beauty. Did a few rides by now and this bike hits different compared to my 2018 Scott Spark. Its faster and simply glides over gravel roads when you get the speed right. Its definitely a racing bike. Love it Bought some wrapping off cuts from a place here in George, want to wrap the frame just protect it from gravel damaging the paint job. Nervous to do it on my own as I don't want to make a mistake so will most likely just take the bike to the local store to do it. @Titan Racing Bikes EDIT: Oh and the bike sleeps in the home office, no way a thing of this beauty will sleep in the garage Regards Johann
  5. Lol what do you mean? The white stripes on the blue? That's light from the camera angles.
  6. Was away for a week in the Bosveld so will be collecting the bike tomorrow and get a proper fitment. First need to buy a helmet and shoes again as I sold that with my previous bike, stupid mistake but ahh well, new shoes and helmet will look good Some photos, couch pic to follow haha @Titan Racing Bikes Bike looks beautiful btw
  7. Thanks all. I went with the 100mm one as our local shop in George couldn't find the 120mm in stock. Would've preferred the 120mm one but ah well cant wait to ride again. Thanks for all the advice.
  8. Hi all Need some advice please. One the verge of buying the 2022 Titan Cypher 120 Carbon Pro (blue one) I have noticed there is two models, one with ROCKSHOX SID SL SELECT 100mm and the other with a ROCKSHOX SID SELECT 120mm, small difference on the rear shock, dropper on the one and tyres. Not going to do technical trails that much as I prefer the longer rides on normal gravel roads as I am a bigger guy (110kg) and don't prefer the technical quick trails. Will it be much of a difference if I take the 100mm version or will it be better to take the 120mm for more travel since I also weigh more then your average rider? Seems that we can only get the 100mm version locally but they can change the bike in order to make it the Cyper 120 Carbon Pro. Last bike was a 2018 Scott Spark 940 so will be upgrading to the above. I have already made my choice on one of the above unless you guys have different advice to take another model or even another bike in the same price range Thanks in advance Johann
  9. Hi all, Just some feedback. I did a proper setup 2 days ago. Got a new saddle (155) Did my first ride Yesterday, a quick 20k, new saddle feels good and I dont have that uncomfortable feeling on rocky sections, however I did feel a pins and needles feeling (Slight numbness) in my right foot when I was riding, not the whole time, just on certain occasions. It goes away but comes again and so on, noticed that it happens when I remain seated for a longer period... Is that normal as I first need to get used to my new saddle or shouldn't it happen at all? Here is a pic of my new seat
  10. Thanks for all the replies. Will do a proper bike setup the end of the month and get a new saddle suited for me.
  11. Was both of them for about 3 days or so. Now only part of the little finger and the side part of the ring finger. I can feel but there is still a slight numbness in both...
  12. Nothing wrong with doing the cycle tour on a MB. Was rather looking for a more helpful response regarding the situation but I'll wait for someone else to respond thank you.
  13. Hi all, So I did the CT Cycle tour last Sunday. Race was great. Race was also long as I am not used to 5+ hours in the saddle. We did the race on our mountain bikes for fun and we had a blast. I have a Scott Spark 940 2018 with the standard Syncros XR2.0 saddle My ass took a beating, and I am still experiencing a numbness in my right hand's little & ring finger which is concerning. Part of my genitals was also numb for about 2 days or so Any idea to what my cause this? Is it permanent nerve damage or should I give it more time? I'm thinking the saddle is not suited for me as Ive not yet done a proper bike setup, could be that my position on the bike is wrong?
  14. Yeah just did a search, but most of them are threads about smart trainers and this one vs that one ect. I know nothing about them so need someone to explain to me. Will check if I can go to my local shop tomorrow
  15. Hi guys. Don't want to start a new thread but need some help regarding a indoor trainer. As you know I have a Spark 940 MTB. Can you guys recommend me a decent indoor trainer that wont break the bank? Done some research regarding fluid vs magnetic ect and simply cant decide which is best. If anyone can point me to a thread or link me to a nice indoor trainer I would appreciate it. Thanks
