I have been sorted out, refund has been made by Groupon. The "scam" for me was such that I was sold a product without knowing who or where my backup was going to come from, yes it says "Extreme Light" but who are Extreme Light exactly? This is a massive problem for me as who do you go to for backup if there is a problem? I was also not happy with the 3 month warranty. It was like the light was being sold by a "mystery" company. Well, I know now it's Pyro Lights, only through investigating this and speaking to Groupon, two brands one vendor. They have a website that shows very little, the contact details are vague and no replies to my emails. No other contact details or phone numbers are displayed, just no clarity.

Well, well, well. Seems someone has/ is telling massive porkies here. Just been dealing with the Regional Sales Manager of Groupon regarding this matter, and some info has come to light (excuse the pun) All parties are now going to be investigated by Groupon. Seems a few people were right regading this matter.

What I do have a problem with is that if I was satisfied with the info on the page about the lights details and never clicked on the link that says, click here for more info, You would assume the deal is for a "Extreme light"( nas this is a brand) from Pyros Lighting, its all under one title, not buy these two Pyros Lights from Pyros, then buy this one light from Extreme Lights. Its all in the wording, it should be more clear.

So in fact I have no idea who I bought from or what I am getting. Who would you go bback to for complaints of if something was wrong, what about accesories who do I go to. Extreme Lights seems to be a front for something else, not sure 1005 yet, but this stinks.

Well this is NOT what Pyro Lights are saying. How can groupon just deciede to run its own deal alongside another company? Either Pyro Lights are lying to me or they have marketed this so well its left me retarded.

Are you telling me that multi- billion dollar companies don't scam people, are you havin a laugh? I was naive, it won't happen again thats for sure. First and last time I will deal with Groupon, just seeing the amount of complaints on Helloperter says a lot about a company and their supposed ethics.

I can, this is why I'm thinking along the same lines. Why would Extreme Lights have a link to Pyros Lights on their website? Even the hub is mentioned. I smell a rat.

Pyro Lights is not a problem to get a hold of, it's Extreme Lights that is looking very dodgy.

Yeah, same as mine. As Edge Design pointed out, I think this is one and the same people. I hope I get my refund though, seems HelloPeter is full of unhappy people.

I've done just that, Groupon have NO details for who Extreme Lights are at all. My money will be back within 3 days, so happy days again.

Apparently, Pyro Lights say that Extreme Lights have piggybacked on this deal and they are are not happy about this as well. So not sure if they are in fact linked.

So, last week Friday there was a Fathers Day groupon deal for LED lights for cycling , under the heading "Pyro LED Cycling Lights" Since this advert has been run and I stupidly went and bought a LED Light, i have since discovered a few discrepancies, firstly the advert implies that all the lights were coming from Pyro Lights, when in fact one the of the light was coming from another company altogether, a company called "Extreme Lights". I thought the brand name of the light was Extreme Lights I was under the impression that all the lights within the deal were coming from Pyro Lights, since correspondence between Pyro and myself, they have informed me that "Extreme lights" have piggybacked on the groupon deal they had going. They are not happy about whats gone on themselves( Pyro Lights that is) I've been trying to get through to groupon this morning but not having any luck, I have sent an email as well. This is were the fun and games begin, I have sent three emails to Extreme Lights via the website, but have had no contact from them, I cannot find any other contact details for this company online, which raises a few suspicions in my mind. Surely this is unethical on groupon side with misleading customers. They should also have contact details for this company "Extreme Lights", shouldn't they? Has anyone else had dealing with Extreme Lights? or got there contact details to call them. Many Thanks. Just to give an update/ conclusion for myself with regards to this whole saga. Hannes has come good in making sure I am a happy customer. He has given me a great discount on a Pyro Light, which I should take delivery of next week. In saying this he has certainly come to the table in trying to rectify the whole issue/ situation with the Groupon deal. Since having spoken to him on the phone and via emails, I would now have no hesitation in recommending him for any future purchases you may have. We all makes mistakes and I can now see it was a small error from myself for not reading enough into the deal, as well as the errors from Groupon and Pyro Lights. The fact that he has made good with a disgruntled customer says a lot to me about the type of person and business he is running.
