  1. ha ha ha ha ha haLOL

well porky if you watched a few weeks ago you would have already seen the owen clipWinkgive them a break they needed to fill TV time!ha ha

you guys should watch pedal talk on SABC 2 Sat afternoon,3pm i think, you wont find it in the TV mag as it's during the Sport on 2 period or something like that. they have decent races that are more recent than supercycling and johnny koen hosts it
  2. i agree the price of entry fees are still reasonable in CT. but let see what the increase will be come Spring season. my complaint is the fixed cost a cyclist must pay to ride as a licensed club member in the ppa league. ppa have also expanded the criteria to ride league ie a - f seeded riders qualify as opposed to a - c seeded riders of a year or so ago. have the ppa now realised that "leagues" are income generating without having an additional expense attached

    yay yay yay

    thank you

somone see's the light, i posted on a similiar matter a while ago..

why as wp cyclist should we pay an extra R1000 +- a year as an "administration" expense or whatever you want to call it. No other province does or do they?So basically we are funding a middle man... the PPA
  3. To me its really isnt expensive atall. People are moaning about joining PPA' date=' its like what? R200 or so a year and they hold races and without them we wouldnt be racing so to me it seems like it goes hand in hand.

Maybe if we bought less fancy gadgets on our bikes and trained harder it wouldnt be so expensive? To race a local MX race in the cape is R360 entry for 1 class and additoinal R200 for the 2nd class. To get your bike preped for a race and petrol/food etc you looking at close to R4000 per race and you race up to 2 locals a month and a National costs you close to R9000 to do up country and if you ride the premier classes your heats are 20min long and you ride between 2 and 4 heats day.

Cycling costs nothing to race you should be greatfull its so cheap.

with all due respect this is quite a different sport and not really applicable...
  4. Jonkershoek is R20 for the day, R200 for a year pass,so 10 rides and you basically "paid" for it!and the singletrack is good!think dirtopia builds it,they have just put in a new one which takes about 5mins to ride at quite high speed which gives you an idea of the length of it, complete with berms, few small jumps and 1 0r 2 other obstacles....

p.s. join maties and come have a chat to me and ill get you a year pass for R100!ShockedWinkBig%20smile
  5. theres so many threads on this race, lets keep it on one of them

do you have a csa licence?if you do i think you can change it so you are doing sa champs and you can start in one of the front groups

  6. Why did Robbie hunter win the king of the mountains jersey at the giro del capo???????

Umm... Because he was in a break on a stage with a lot of KOM points up for grabs (and Helshoogte is not very steep as well).

On one of his off days RH will out climb any South African "climber"....except JL.

and because the climbs in the giro del capo dont really compare to europe

    ...
  7. thought this was a thread on doping but there is so much other crap on here!!!!

have to agree with icycling,if you're doping in SA you must be pretty useless, doesnt stop most of the guys from doing it though
  8. Geesh' date=' dunno if I read the same results as you do, but he does not even feature high up in the GC, even JLA is ahead of him (by miles)!!![/quote']

Weet jy enigeiets van fietsry af???

    well look at his avatar
  9. I use iceman for recovery' date=' R40 per pot, works like a charm. After a ride, lie in a bath for a good 20 minutes, then dry and apply. Cools down your legs, feels actualy like they are on fire

O ja, do wear shorts when you massage this into your quads, you realy do not want this stuff anywhere near your b**ls. Use it, dont use it...

last time i used ice man i shivere for the next hour and couldnt get the stuff offDead
  10. Then for the ones saying the standerd is crap at the tour. Why don't you go study full time and go ride the tour. Then maybe i can laugh at you. Some of us study Actuaris' date=' Engineering, etc. Myself was at Rooiwal race the other weekend, before then i only was on the bike last time easter weekend. Some of us just don't have time and some work as well in between the studying as well. There was also a bunch that was sick like Arno, Wesley, Reinardt which is some of the stronger riders. Take your comments some where else or come proof yourself next time.
