  1. Hi Sepia

We are chatting to our stores there who currently stock the ASS MAGIC Chamois Cream to get some stock to them. Will update as we go.

Jowetts Cycles in PMB does have at the moment if you are up that side at all.

    Hi Sepia

Imbi's will be available in Durban from Friday from:

    Thule Partner Springfield

    Thule Partner Uhmlanga

    Leigh's Cycle Centre near Gateway

I trust that will be of assistance to you

  2. This is not a loaded question, really. Why is AM better than J&J baby bum cream or similar I have been using?

    Hi ratherberidin

ASS MAGIC was developed with a specific purpose, to be a chamois cream which would prevent chafing and be anti-bacterial/fungal. Thus we have used specific ingredients to ensure that these requirements are met and exceeded.

We use lanolin and synthetic beeswax, both ingredients have fantastic anti-chafe properties.

Along with that, we also have 4 essential oils being Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, Lemon and Sweet Almond oil. This ensures that the cream is both anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

As I have also mentioned there is Zinc Oxide which promotes healing assisted by the Sweet Almond and Witch Hazel oils.

Lastly, cycling kit should not be washed at higher temperatures than 30-40C as this can damage the fabric. AM will wash out of your chamois at these lower temperatures ensuring that in the long run your chamois doesn't 'clog up'.

  3. Thanks for the feedback.

Milking cream is a good base cream and something we have used to experiment with when trying different formulations.

We have increased our lanolin content from what you would find in milking cream and have also added synthetic beeswax in order to make the cream somewhat thicker. We made the cream thicker based on feedback from our customers, the thicker cream has better anti-chafe properties.

We use 4 essential oils being Tea Tree, Witch Hazel, Lemon and Sweet Almond oil. Along with Zinc Oxide, this ensures that the cream is both anti-bacterial and anti fungal and if you should have a problem it does promote healing.

    Hi Waveduke

I have double tested the social media links and all seem to be working.

  5. These seem fantastic. Which shops in Joburg stock them?

    Hi Jehosefat

    Design in Motion

    Mellow Velo

    Ridgeway Cycles

    Finish Line Cycles

  6.

Bullsjhit. Clearly you overestimate the value of your time.

You can import that Dual frame for no more than R7000. And that's with shipping, and duties. BS sells them for R12.5k. I have nothing against BS, Colin has got a nice hussle going and I hope he is succesful.

My suggestion is, don't try to make a killing on every frame you sell! Instead of selling it for R12.5k and making a fkin huge R5500 profit, rather sell it for R8500. Make less profit, but you'll sell allot more frames and eventually probably make more profit anyway.

Ah if only it was so easy then should we not all do it?

  7. I really believe it's PPA job to promote all cycling and that includes the Southern Suburbs fun rides. I ahve been hearing stories of lack of funding as a reason why the SS rides are no more, it costs R30k for traffic control etc.

So WHAT? PPA and Cycle Trust make millions from the World Championship Fun Ride every year, plough some of that back into what must some of the best amateur fun ride/racing in the world around the Point.

That's how you promote cycling, let people ride in safe and orgnised routes on roads with beautiful scenery and great climbs.

are you even serious? some of the best in the world? psssh

  8. I am getting an FSA SLK Light Megaexo BB30 Compact crankset on a new bike. The problem is with it being compact crankset(50x34) and I need a 53x39. The BCD is 110mm and it is 5 bolt. FSA do not make a 110mm BCD 53x39 chain rings as far as I have been able to find out but I have managed to find that Control Tech do. Does anyone know if this is compatible? It says that the Control Tech is compatible with Shimano and S-Ram, the rest of the groupset is Shimano.

    Thanks

  9. sorry about that, dont know what just happened.

    Hi Ronelle

Did you get any pics of the early elite break that got caught just after the gravel? Saw someone on the back of a motor bike, think it may have been you.

    No. 78, Toyota/Cycle Lab

    thanks

    Chris
