  1. I recently installed a set of the Cinturato 32c tyres and found them to be ok. Long story short, my 2020 Giant Defy came with a (not so nice) PR2 wheelset with Gavia Fondo 32c tubeless rubbers. The Gavia Fondos are fine but the rear hub was not. After a back and forth, the LBS eventually took the wheel back and sent it in for warranty repairs ????. After waiting a week, I ordered a set of Mavic Aksium Elites from another LBS. I received the Mavics before I got the PR2 back. The Mavics are lighter and I like the 360 hub. The Mavics came with Yksion tyres, 28c. With less than 100km on the tyres, I experienced my first tubeless cut that didn’t seal. It was raining and the roads were wet, I don’t know if this had anything to do with the catastrophic TL failure. It was at this point that I ordered the Pirellis from Takealot. Been riding on the Cinturato 32c for a few weeks and no issues. Happy to sacrifice rolling resistance for puncture protection. BTW I’m 100kg and ride the tyres at 65psi in the front and 70psi in the back. The Cinturatos were harder to fit on to the rims, I had to use tools, but I could seat the tyres with a floor pump. The same cannot be said for the Gavia Fondos.
  2. Sometimes I don’t like my own company.
  3. I’m the noob here. I’m not fit or strong or light enough to hang on a group and find myself by myself mostly. During a 4 hour ride I can either zone out and think about everything else or zone in on a data overload. On the map view I can see the route and the hills. I don’t know the area and this is my first 99er. I would rather choose to ignore than not have information.
  4. Thanks very much
