  1. Dude! That is hectic. If you google images "chris kovarik" you get more images of the intense M6 than of Chris. I think they should put him on their factory team.
  2. Eish, sorry to hear bout the hassles. I did some research into this when I was in the market for a new cassette and chain. Sram and shimano are compatible in every way except one...you cant use a Sram rear mech with a Shimano shifter and vice versa as they work on different ratios. The rest is all good. I have Shimano rear mech and shifter, Sram chain, cassette and cranks. So smooth.
  3. I doubt the LBS would have looked passed the limiting screw idea, if so then stay away from them or insist on a senior mechanic
  4. Hey Teardrop, Im hardly a pro but check your chain for stiff links that could caus it to slip. Sounds like its the cassette though, I had the same problem, changed the cassette and now its perfect. Thats poor service for sure!
  5. Its under riding...https://www.bikehub.co.za/f/37-riding/
  6. http://lp1.pinkbike.com/p4pb5628168/p4pb5628168.jpg Diggen the hartail action. Brave man or chicken runner?
  7. LDF that picture is so sweet, you guys have it good over there, 3 mins of downhill must be awesome! We working on a little track in the valley near my house, very pedally up top then it gets steep and ruff near the end. DHK, did you purchase that gamut locally?
  8. No!! Ok, enter the berm way too fast at the wrong angle, then drift back wheel into the berm wall super hard while going throwing your weight to the ground!
  9. FAST N LOOOOSE!
  10. V12's have sealed bearing compared to the ball bearings in the V8. The actual platform part of the pedal is exactly the same.
  11. Scrap that! DMR V12's on the way
  12. Its really good, very interesting film, they keep Sam Hill for last. You should watch it. Has Rennie, Kovarik and whole bunch of guys in it.
  13. I thought mine felt a bit low Rennie knows how to rail berms for sure, what a beast. Have you watched "this is Australia"?
  14. 100 euros! That doesnt make any sense. I have my bike setup with steeper geometry so bb should be a tiny bit higher than most. Measure bottom of bb to ground, 33.5cm. Im using 36 tooth hussefelt bash guard, bottom of that to the ground is 28cm. How bout yours?
  15. Thats good info Cap, thanks. Things that stand out for me the most is the 165mm crank arms, makes so much sense. That length is hens teeth round here. I have have 175mm arms, waaaaay too long, will keep them on till I snap them off on a rock or something. Also I think its rad that they share actual shock setups.
  16. 29inchers roll over stuff much better, but what about center of gravity, need to keep that low. Its a interesting subject for sure!
  17. How much are you looking to spend?
  18. Dude!!! Gee must have tossed his fork in the bin after that.
  19. I use flats. I'm using a set of Mongoose pedals I found in the bargain bin at a local LBS, they a kinda V8 copy without all the fancy bits.
  20. Sweet ride Cap. Where did you but the Ti spring from?
  21. Danny actually does all the other bands under Sovereign, The Parlo's get special attention from the label boss.
  22. Pains me to say it, Hill is in his own class at the moment. Minnaar's 4:31.57 is hella fast thought, what a man.
  23. Aaaah no! That sucks.
  24. Good call Cap, your man has won it! And Specialized must be over the moon with Troy Brosnan winning junior world champs, like I said before, he is amazing! South Africa did well hey, we flippen awesome.
  25. You mean pottie potgieter is there? How many riders are we alowed at worlds?
