  1. The X-AL is meant for the heavier manne, its built a little stronger and thats probably why there is a bit of extra grams. Doesn't mean it won't be good for lighter guys.
  2. The X-AL is a really good deal, like you say it has really good components. I took a quick look at some reviews on the wheels and did not find anyone who struggled to make them tubeless. If you keep those brakes clean and well bled you shouldn't have problems, with carbon levers, pretty fancy. Full X9 gears, through axles front and rear, RS Sid up front and a Gobi saddle you cant go wrong.
  3. I haven't heard about any problems with frames. The AL429 is amazing, it won a bike shootout recently... http://www.momsenbikes.com/bikes/29-er/al429 And it looks sweet.
  4. Nice one Martin, cool review.
  5. Lol, I agree. Not enough context. I think the Eldron is a well known and respected member of the hub.
  6. Wow, now it really is sorted!
  7. You were fast man, on a hard tail nogal.
  8. Here is the link to the video file ... https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ognyybya9o7qo2/HOLGAT.mov
  9. I have the handlebar video from this run that that Stephen did, I'll upload it to youtube if its not too huge.
  10. Thanks, that would be helpful. I was there on Sunday but the weather wasn't playing nice.
  11. Cant wait for this, going to be so awesome.
  12. Hit the nail on the head, I think those bikes are old yet still working great so no need to upgrade. Reminds me of the ice-cream guys on bikes, same deal.
  13. We should all give him a bad rating , no one will buy from him again if he has a -20 rating. As soon as you turn 18 you are not a minor any more,
  14. I organised to travel 300km to do a ride today with my newly installed app, only to find out its not available on Android yet. Man, this really really sucks. And R200 guys, bit greedy. And don't bother posting on their Facebook wall, they will just delete your post. My bad, they did not delete my post, I just don't know how facebook works!
  15. Wow, sand in your vajayjay much?
  16. Its funny reading about this because I watched Klunkerz for the first time this week, in the film its very clear that specialized stole the first stumpjumper frame design from Tom Ritchey, Specialized took a complete Ritchey frame over to Japan and had thousands of copies made, I mean come on! What a w*nker brand.
  17. Ag! I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread.
  18. They mentioned that they are busy taking photos of the products, I think they are getting rid of old stock. So I don't think they will be taking requests.
  19. Dude, wow! You went all out, this is done well. Love the extra Hope bits. How are those grips, I am thinking of getting some?
  20. I think the Momsen looks better and it has a Richey finishing kit which is a really nice bonus.
  21. Then use a friend's phone, cheap cheap (read: free)
