Thanks for all your tips and advice. Yes it's likely the mix of zinc flakes, residual wax lube and dry dirt getting into the rollers, which could have gunked up and stiffened the chain links. Haven't ruled out the factory grease either. I've cleaned and degreased (clean green) the chain again, using hot water to rinse it off (with the hope of melting any residual wax away) and dried it off properly. It's now got a teflon based dry chain lube which is meant to reduce friction and eject dirt. It's working so far. If it doesn't, I'll get another brand chain. P.S. Connex response: "we are no friends of degreasing as the important parts that need grease always get washed off as well. There are no claims worldwide of stiff links with this chain so maybe this is the cause?"

I fitted a new Connex single speed chain to my dirt jumper. After the first chain clean, I used a waxed based lube on it. I rode the bike a few times over 3 weeks and now the chain has developed multiple tight links. Tried the following: - cleaned and degreased the chain - applied a light oil based chain lube - twisted the chain back and forth at the tight links to try loosen them It seemed to work for while until after 2 rides then the stiff links seemed to return. I don't know if it's a defect with the chain or am I doing something wrong?

Seems like many mixed reviews from the previous thread. I heard SAPO was about to implement a tracking system which uses the original source tracking number, instead of SAPO's own one. Not sure if it's happened yet? First prize would be to get a successful delivery via SAPO... As some peace of mind, Starbike states shipping includes insurance. With DHL Paket International this is up to Euro 500. I couldn't find anything on Bike24 about shipping insurance, but they also use DHL (not Express)? Payment with Paypal lets you get your money back if you don't get your goods up to 180 days.

Hi Has anyone had a recent experience shipping to South Africa using the standard shipping option from any of these 2 online bike shops? Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks.
