  1. Eish, gonna have to put these babies on a weigh-less program!
  2. Tks Stringbean. Will try source 1 of those Granny Gears to do the conversion. Phase 1 - Looks like the bike is gonna weigh in around the 10.4~10.6kg mark with pedals and bar-ends Phase 2 is gonna be 9.999999kg MTB Kid2008-06-29 09:56:32
  3. Yip, definately want to shed some weight there - weighed them at 810g with BB. Where did you get your Chainrings from - mailorder?
  4. Well spotted, yes, the original parts ( drivetrain ) are off a Mongoose FS but then I am making changes to lighter parts as and when I can get them. RS Sid Race - I have one on backorder .... White ..... Phase 2 for the build: lighter crankset - maybe a 2 x 9 Setup from FSA or FRM if money allows .... lighter seatpost - waiting for a 141g 350 x 30.9 sample Ti Disc Rotor bolts Ti Disc Caliper bolts Sram XO Twisters Brakes - as some have mentioned there will be lighter models for 09 season but gonna have to wait - new Avid's in White .... Chain - probably KMC X9-SL
  5. One of my all-time favourite saddles - at sub 230g and with more padding than some " comfort " saddles - the Rocket V is legendary.
  6. 1670g for the corsa sl wc. Incl the remote lockout and cable. If you ad the remote to the pace it will be almost the same. But the marzocchi will still be far superior. Will check, the remote is being posted to me. But I can't see how it could add 370g for a cable and thumb lever-my guess is 100~150g tops? I figure if the Pace was good enough for a hardcore racer and weight weenie like Mr Sauser, it must be good enough for me
  7. Nope .... I still want the bike to have IMHO the best performing rear suspension in the game ....
  8. Sorry, I do have some Ti Skewers with Red Arms of course. Colour scheme is gonna be RED detailing with Carbon to match the bits on the frame .... Crankset- yes, Noir not the lightest but I have a new set "lying around" - must still weigh them tho to check the actual weight. I might switch them with my XTR to shed some weight. Brakes - will start with the Avid Ultimates and shed some weight with Ti Bolts for the calipers and Unex Windcutter rotors - again, will weigh and check the diff. Final will be the Ti Rotor Bolts. The new Formula's look good - R1? Also the new Mag Magura's could be the hot ticket.
  9. One of the most anticipated frames of all time ... will post pics as soon as it lands ...
  10. Tks for all the comments. I am aware of the maintenance side of things with the Pace forks and it is a concern. But then again, with Ebay and similar sites, Retrobike etc, I am sure if there is a will there is also a way to get new seals etc. At 1300g for a 100mm fork I am prepared to live with it. Marzocchi - you're joking right? I think we would have to take the entire cartridge out of the left leg to get to that weight?
  11. Stem is Sub 100g for 100mm extension!
  12. Tyres are sub 500g and gonna be converted to Tubeless via Stans Kit:
  13. Managed to source a Pace RC39 fork prior to DT Swiss buying them - fork is missing the Cable Actuated Remote Lockout but hope to get one soon: impressive weight for a 100mm travel fork

  16. Great build!!! Now looking fwd to seeing those riding pics! Keen to see some action shots of that DW-Link in action!!!!
  17. Woohooo, its Friday, the Crow gets his Mojo back and the Burry show starts at 1pm - gonna be a great day!!!! Go Burry!!!!!!
  18. 8.3kg - that is impressive, would like to see the complete build spec. That frame can't be lighter than a hardtail ..... Gonna be interesting to see if he actually races with the S fork, as he has been using the new SID although S have had a fork in "production" since 2008 model year. Oh, and the forks are outsourced to X-Fusion .....
  19. Nice, when you gonna fork it? Let's see some wheels and a fork - a kind of pre-quel to the complete?
  20. Ok, no more excuses, will be checking today in regular intervals for the "grease by bearing " live updates ....
  21. Ok, suspense is killing me now!!! Have you started with the build yet .....
