  8. Chat to the guys at Cycles Africa -- they have some Cane Creek Reducers. I was in the same boat .... but managed to get a Taper Fork ( Don't ask )which solved my problem. As far as I know the Giant frame can take the reducer kit. If not, your options are Fox ( special order ) or Reba ( also special order ).
  9. Not sure how OKO compares, but this is a test STAN did a while ago in the US - silenced all the critics. Yes, shelf cost is slightly higher, but STAN's outlasts all it's competition. http://www.notubes.com/movie_sealant.php
  10. Very very nice!!! Congrats. If you want more Cush - we have the WTB Wolverine 2.2 in stock. But great build and attention to detail.
  11. Podium MMX ---- AC hubs, DT Spokes, built in USA. ZTR Alpine ---- our spec for SA is ZTR Hubs, DT 2.0/1.5 , Alloy Nipples. Alpine and Crest are new models ---- they are additions to the range and feature next generation BST technology --- all details are on the NO TUBES site and the weight weenie forums http://www.notubes.com/product_info.php/cPath/685/products_id/491
  12. I am biased ZTR Podium MMX at 1,21kg with tubeless tape and valve or ZTR Alpine ( new ) at 1,38kg with tubeless tape and valve
  13. Rim uses similar profile as the latest PODIUM MMX --- so superwide internal cavity ( think 21mm ) for getting the beads nice and open --- bigger volume tyre, less tyre sidewall flex, more contact area etc. With the low sidewall they put that extra material into the center of the rim for strength --- assume you know the whole Bead Socket Technology feature? Will they last Melville Koppies -- sorry, only know Paul Melville from Melville Cycles These babies are en-route to him.
  14. His left today ---- also a Silver Bullet .... and some of these crazy 29er wheels - 1370g with valves and tape:
  15. Not so sure: e13 have issued a press release that he was using their product and also sent this pic:
  16. And another one arrived today -- but this is the Striking Silver colourway:
  17. US Retail is $50 so probably around R 400 to R 500 in SA incl VAT.
  18. Absolon's bike fitted with e13 prototype. MTB Kid2009-11-21 03:40:25
  19. What do you guys think of the new trend of running single-ring upfront with the new 10-speed ( read: Sram XX ) cassettes on the market? Julian Absolon used an e13 prototype in this year's World Champs XC race .... e13 are now bringing this product to market http://bikemag.com/gear/accessories/ethirteen-unleashes-two-new-guides/ Any interest? Would it sell in SA?
