  1. Guys, I'm pretty sure the Bulls alloy 29er frame is gonna retail at around R5'500, give or take a few zars ;-) Not sure who told you R8'000 but that's not what I'm hearing
  2. Come take a look at the Bulls 29er carbon bike, and have a chat to Karl about it ;-) https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/86675-ride-with-karl-platt-tokai-forest/
  3. Just for the record ..the prices of bikes came down this year because the dollar dropped from 13:1 to 8:1 and importers base their prices on this and not on the price fixing...that had nothing to do with it. Secondly the 10% margin is a standard fine which has been levied in the past on the bread industry and the car industry with the car industry taking an extra 10% from the directors salaries as well. For the rest ....we still have the outcome of the Tribunal so lets not judge too early....some of the people on the list are not guilty. There's also no point in boycotting the products that the wholesalers who are on the list bring in as these agencies change hands on an ongoing basis. 'nuff said!
  4. Thanks for the support. Will try to keep you on a short spend leash when you visit!
  5. Morning all! EXCITING NEWS! Just to let you know that the EPIC Bike Shop is moving to bigger and better premises just further up Gabriel Rd to 39 Constantia Rd, Plumstead. We are NOT closing down but rather expanding our facilities. We will be offering three times more than ever before, with bigger workshop & showroom, easier access from the highway and tons of parking. We will also have a coffee bar, massage and beauty therapy, and outside garden seating area and secure bike parking area. OFFICIAL OPENING: 11 August 2009 Once settled in we will be organising regular social rides, night rides and skills clinics. To assist us with diminishing the amount of Stock we have to move and to make our year end stock take easier we have lots of stuff on SALE at our current premises as of today...all marked goods are less 25%. Hope to see at least some of you soon Aylex& Lance
  6. what wheel brand is it. some manufacturers over grease the freebody on the rear wheel so when you pick them up in a shop to oggle them, they feel smooth and stuff but they do resist the free wheeling action they should have normally. Most of this excess grease is expelled with centrifical force within 3 rides about. if this still persists there is something wrong!
