Seeding is on an honestly seeding system we have provided indications of the average speeds for each group based on last year, we also check through the results and compare last years times, we have got a very nice split amongst the groups.

We are limiting to 700 in the 45km, we are almost there. counting for drop outs we roughly 120 per group. 5minute gaps between groups.

We are getting there, entries are coming in thick and fast now, as you know everybody leaves it till the last minute. Don't forget we are the first seeding event for Momentum 94.7 MTB so will be your first chance to get a good spot.

Looking for some singlespeed rider/riders to make up a 12hr team, anybody keen got a guys interested in joining a team. good training for SSWC as the beers will be flowing here as well.

Hi Jacques Yes if you enter at Trappers we manually put the forms through our online entry system, which can prove difficult as some are not very well written. If you have entered and have not received a mail please drop me a mail on info@springclassic.co.za so i can check your email address. Scotty, the climbs will hurt but the descents make it all worth it! not an easy 45km but it is out main distance so it can't too easy.

There will be line entries, but it has new organisors, so expect a slicker operation

Hi Thug it is a different course, using a lot of the same bits, but changing direction on some of them and some new sections of singletrack added in as well. The wall hill is now out but i have added another similar slightly easier hill. The singletrack around the Avianto Clubhouse is still in for the interactive racing feel. oh and the clubhouse now has a new roof so if the rain hits we wont all have to cuddle under the small amount of shelter :-)

I think we will have to put the guys in marshals vests, so everybody knows they are a riding hazard!

Thinking of adding a "Beer a lap" category to the race, who ever last the longest after downing a beer after each lap and finishes the race, wins. Sure i could get a nice prize together for this.

I'm sure Louis and the team will have some surprises up their sleeve, definitely a real mountain biking route.

This should be a great event, awesome area to ride in and a real mtb course. Great to see Spectrum Sport is now doing the organisation, they always do a good job!

NEWS JUST IN! Eqstra Spring Classic has just been confirmed as a seeding event for the Momentum 94.7 Mountain Bike Challenge. It is the first year that seeding events will be used in this manner, along similar lines to the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge itself. Events are rated based on a set of criteria, and are considered for inclusion in the new 'seeding series'. Get your entry in asap.

I think the flag pole could be an electrifying experience, hopefully the slightly earlir date this year will help with those downpours.

The Jager will be flowing again this year, regardless of the weather, hope Grant still fits into his leopard print suit. thrown the old train tunnel into the route this year, so maybe lights might be a adviable even in the day :-)
