  1. I commute often, with hairy and the crew... I've often cycled the lane solo before joining hairy and his crew and I've been fine, luckily. That section is dodgey though, and I've seen a few incidents take place. I don't think that closing the lane down is a viable solution. As Hairy said. We use the lane everyday and rely on it to get to work and home again. I for one, am going to continue using the lane. I've cycled along the n1 before and it's really not viable.... it's dangerous with the trucks driving insane speeds there. I would rather risk a mugging than getting knocked over by a truck.
  2. Anyone know of anyone selling a Cotic bFe medium frame?
  3. Not sure. Came with bike
  4. Boom! My Fuji Feather with Brooks saddle.
  5. anyone selling their cotic bFe medium frame? I want one
  6. Well done LC. A bit sad I didn't get it That Brooks would have been so great for my bike.
  7. Just bought Eppies beautiful Le Jeune More pics here https://www.bikehub.co.za/gallery/album/1777-le-jeune/
  8. Are you Eric? I think we met on Saturday Love this bike! Wow
  9. I have an old 80s Le Jeune in mint condition which I would like to ride Eroica with. She has full Shimano 105 groupset and has such a beautiful look. Previous owner put on a yellow Sella Italia saddle (which looks alright) but a Brooks would just complete the look of this beauty. So this is my entry
  10. Ha ha! You guys are really hating on this thing hey To be honest, if I had the cash i would get one! Who doesn't want to chill up the hills and blast down hehe.
  11. Exactly! Skate shoes work perfectly for flat pedals Better than hiking or hitec shoes. The Five Tens and Specialized 2F0 look similar to skate shoes as well. Obviously theres nothing better than Five Tens, but for R500, these are awesome! This is exactly what the sole looks like.
  12. I was using the HiTec shoes with vibram soles. I didn't find them that grippy
  13. I took my bike out this weekend with the new HD on the front. It's awesome! Confidence inspiring. Grippy. It does have more drag that my racing ralph which I had on the front but it's worth it when going downhill!
  14. I used to use the 1.5L camelbak (which has one very tiny pocket which doesn't fit anything at all!). What I did recently was bought this: http://www.capeunionmart.co.za/k-way-swift-hydration-pack and put my Camelbak bladder inside it Agree with the CPT. It's more about carrying all your spares and tools you need on the day. 1.5L is more than enough liquid for a few hour ride. I rode for around 3 hours and I still had liquid left. The KWay Swift I bought is not too big but it can fit a pump, some tyre patches and repair kits, my wind jacket and tyre, multi tool and chain breaker.
