A mate of mine just started riding and he bought the Merida TFS-100. He reckons it was a great buy and he seems happy with it. I also ride a Merida, so Merida all the way. Just change the seat.

So, I'm looking at buying a new fork and have looked at the Rock Shox Recon Gold. Anyone got any opinion? Would really help a lot!

You can ride to Blockhouse from Rhodes Mem. From the tar road leading up to Rhodes Mem, take the Jeep Track up and carry on for a bit. When you get to a fork, just take the left route. It's a HORRIBLE ride up! Enjoy.

I had a 2209 a while ago and was seriously impressed. Downloading also works great. Only downside is that you can't draw up a log graph of your ride. I landed up spending R500 more and getting a Sigma ROX 9.0. Got the ROX from Olympic Cycles for R2150. Have a look online, might be worth spending a bit more.

Thanks so much! Well, I normally ride Tokai in ct, so used to some climbing and technical singletrack.

Am in George for a few days and looking to do some mountain biking here. Anyone know of good routes? Also, anyone going riding in the next few days and wouldn't mind another person joining?
