Yeah I must be honest, let’s not all throw rocks at people. The cycling community in general is a very trust based community. We all help each other out. I am in the buying and selling game of bikes and components and many times I need customers to trust me and pay me before I ship the goods to other provinces ect. This happens all the time and is sometimes more than difficult to know what a scam is or not.

I would definitely do second hand and not new, you pay way too much for new and will land up with crap that you will outgrow quickly. i would suggest looking for a second had one with great components rather than frame, rather have a bike that will do it all than one that looks good. Obviously don’t get a cracked or scratched to death thing but a decent frame ( aluminium will be just fine ) and something from 10 speed and up

Hi Guys, I was hyjacked 2 weeks ago and guys had taken my S-works tarmac SL5 with dura-ace, the cops had managed to retrieve my bike but there is now cracks on the top tube and also scratches all over the groupset. I have sent it in for an evaluation but I am just curious to see what your experience is, will the insurance pay out or would they change the components, fix the crack in the carbon and respray? let me know.
