Hey guys so I recently purchased a 989 thule strap on bike carrier from frosty and its in perfect condition, now putting it on my golf 4 it seems like once its on as per instructions and I put my bike onto the rack that my bike sits very high and quite far wide of my car, I have two options I can put the bike on the rack with it sitting on the top bar and take the front wheel off so that it sits neatly on the car or I can turn the holders and place one on the top bar and one on the seat post, leaving the front wheel on, also it doesn't seem very stable, I really hope my post makes sense and that I can get some help with this small issue, thanks!

Thanks guys, don't get me wrong I am extremely. Happy with my bike! I am just wanting to know if there is anything small that I need to or would be beneficial to upgrade. But I guess shoes and pedals are the next move!

guys another quick question my mate wants to start riding with me he is looking at buying a new bike, he has to decide between the matts tfs 100 like mine or the matts tfs 500 he wants to know if the difference is worth the money?

hey so i recently (3 weeks ago) decided i want to get back into cycling, when i say "get back into cycling" i say it very loosly because i used to ride around my neighbourhood and did a few mountain bike rides in the drakensburg (recreational) so i went out and not wanting to spend a large bag of money, ibought myself a MERIDA MATTS TFS 100d which i am rather happy with. anyway the sales clerk at the store i bought it from said that i should not upgrade anything on the bike, rather in time get myself another better bike. i feel differently tho, in time i will get a better bike as i improve and enter races etc. so i guess my question is if you guys bought this bike what would you improve first or would you improve at all?? thanks alot. here is the bike.
