hey guys so im riding a hardtail mostly in XC i do alot of single track and a few races, i need new tyres for my bike as my old crappy kenda block 8 are finished, i need advice as to what to by, i really dont want to spend a large amount of cash so looking for a good grippy fast tyre for a small amount of money, possible?

hey guys, went to teak for the first time last sat, shocking, what a boring park, maybe im just used to Rietvlei which has the most awesome single track, forrests and blue routes. I found Teak to be boring and easy with alot of looping, so frustrating. must say even if they werent closed i wouldnt ever go back and for those who never went i personally dont feel that you missed anything. hopefully with their new park then can do a better job.

so i have done the deal! this is my old bike, with alivio and altus. TO THIS merida matts 400xc with full deore and xt rear. i am rather chuffed at this trade!

well like i said the bike is second hand, the rear derailleur is XT and the rest is deore, sorry wasnt specific, the fork is in great shape and for what i am currently riding (rst gila ) its a big step.

ahh sorry i didnt make it clear its not a brand new bike it has done atround 500km< it looks like its in good condition took it for a ride and its great! what should i look out for on the bike?

hey guys and girls once again i need your expert opinion! I have a Merida Matts 100d nice bike, alivio components, tektro draco hyrdraulic brakes, RST Merida branded GIla fork, it is in great condition only done about 400 km. so i went to my LBS the other day and they had a Merida Matts 400d xc with xt components and a rockx shock dart 2, the bike is in good condition from what i saw and it felt great to ride oh alsoe the guy put on Kenda wheels. well the guys at my LBS said they would take mine as a trade in and i would pay in R500 for the 400d. i am seriously considering this and would like to hear your opinions. also the bike is a 20inch and mine is a 18 inch funny my bike has been feeling small of late and when i rode that 20 i was really happy with the size. guys any feedback is welcome! thanks in advance!

AGREED AND AGEED. i am not a bragaining man, hate that nothing has a price on it, basically they could tell you anything and if your a noob you would buy it, this specifically irritates me when someone like my fiance or parents want to buy me a gift or something for my cycling and end up spending double on something that i didnt really need in the begining, just hate that style of business.

i am hitting alot more hills and also find myself riding up hills and then down and back up just to tyr and get there. we cycle on sundays from randburg just off Malibongwe all the way to an estate on the other site of lanseria, this is helping alot with my climbing but wanted to know if there is anything else i could do?? i know there is no "quick fix" as they say on the cover of the bicycling mag but im sure there are tips?? anything i can do at gym on a stationary "bike"
