  1. I ended up cancelling my insurance with Naked as they looked for every reason to not pay out my claims- it became unbearable and eventually moved to a different provider.
  2. I contacted MET and they offered a 50% discount on a new one. I must admit they are really awesome. The crap part is that the helmet is only 4months old -so it feels hard to fork out $$. But with that being said I am generally on the cautious side and will in all likelihood replace it now. Even if it's ok. Like Richard mentioned...to many what ifs in play.
  3. Hi guys, I went for a ride with my wife yesterday and had a small fall off the bike. I hit my thigh, hip, shoulder, elbow and bumped my head. It didn't feel small but I was actually slowing down to stop and slipped before I reached a stop. I recall my head getting bumped and checked my helmet and found some scuff marks. I did a thorough check and the helmet is fine. However google and chat gpt etc say a helmet replacement is a must even n after a small fall. Wondering if there is data to back this up and if indeed I need to replace it or can it be used further if the impact was minimal I contacted MET as it's a MET helmet for a crash replacement. I'm dissapointed as the helmet is only 4months old. Thanks in advance
  4. I did it on my MTB and im glad I did. There are some rough sections and I cant imagine getting hammered on some of those roads without any suspension. Although some people swear that its not bad on a gravel bike, Personally I think the dual suspension makes the ride alot more comfortable.
  5. There is a cutoff date - but generally tickets are available till the last day off the cutoff.
  6. After my M520 developed a wobble on the axle - I thought it would be a good time to upgrade and move the old pair onto my trainer.
  7. I am using the Vittoria Mezcal front and its really a fast tyre on the road and good on trails as well.
  8. How noisy are they ? Id like to get one but noise is a factor for me
  9. After much deliberation and back and forth I eventually bought a new helmet and specs. Really happy with both
  10. They have great service and always willing to help.
  11. So an update - If I fully compress the shock down i have about 10mm from the crown to the trye and about 11mm from the arch sides to the tyre. the only narrow portion is the lower leg(pointy bit) to the tyre which is roughly 6/7mm gap from the side to the tyre
  12. Hi all, I need some advice and guidance here. I installed a new tyre on my fox SC32 shock - One of the sales guys at cyclelab said that I could safely move up from the max 2,3 (supported by fox for this shock) to a 2,35. After installing the clearance on the sides are about 6mm per side and about 10mm on the top. pics attached for reference. Let me know if this is safe to ride or if I should look at going one size smaller. thanks in advance
  13. Thanks for the info . I did get a pair of lake custom soles but have not tried them on yet. Is the fit is still good or the same after a year - do you have the leather version ? did ittake a little shape after a few rides ie; more comfortable ?
  14. So it sounds like weight inst the most important factor here and in my case its probably not going to matter much or at all. My focus should be body weight and straight training over the weight of bike parts I did pull the trigger and bought the 238 from KIM, great service and very patient with me. Will support her again. I definitely like my238 for sure and I dont think I will trade to other brands. however after testing the 238 microfiber version It felt a lot lighter but the fit was not as great as the leather version, which is slightly heavier.
  15. Reviving an old thread How are you guys enjoying your LAKE shoes since purchase - is the weight OK and comfort ok on these shoes? I would like to do race to the sea next year and generally like long rides. My current Ryder shoes come in at 950g for the pair including cleats and the MX238 comes in at 1005g including cleats. - I dont think 60g will make much a dfference in energy consumption- happy to hear your thoughts on it. but thought they would be lighter considering they were 4x the price of the Ryders. the quality of lake and the fit is just amazing though Ryder Bora (46) 950g inc cleats Lake MX238 (45) 1005 inc cleats
