Just a big shout out to CWC. I placed an order for a Fulcrum wheelset, but when they arrived (after just a couple of days) the rear wheel clearly had a spoke nipple rattling around inside the rim. This noise would have driven me mad, so I phoned them to find out about a replacement. They first recommended a local mechanic who couldn't solve the issue, and then went out of their way to ensure that I got replacement wheels with the least disruption to my life. Louis from CWC also kept in close contact via email and phone calls to ensure that my issue was solved. Thanks again to the guys at CWC. You will definitely be seeing me again. Mike :thumbup:

IMHO lap racing is for the pros/serious racers as it involves 2 hours of flat out racing around a generally very technical course. Unfortunately for the weekend warriors out there (like myself)there is very little in terms of fun in this type of racing. The less serious "racers" prefer the 40 - 50 km half marathon events as the fun/social aspect is much higher on our agenda than the technically demanding format of XCO. This is my take on the matter, and make no mistake I love nothing more than watching top level XCO racing as it is very exciting for the spectators.

There are two separate sections of singletrack around 12 km in total. The one winds up and down the slope near the dam wall, while the other on the fishing side,is very flat and fast flowing singletrack. Last time I was there cost R15. Great for the kids but not very challenging or technical.

I have managed to dent 2 bikes trying to tow a trailer with a towbar mounted bike rack. Not worth the heartache. I am going for the Holdfast trailer mounted roofracks and Holdfast Toprunner bike racks. Much safer option imho.
