  1. Yip, really A lot of the overseas pros have been riding them for a while now. With the new compounds and technology, they are making these things close to bomb-proof. Tufo do them - www.tufo.com Word on the street is the father of carbon wheels (Corima - www.corima.com) are going to have a set ready soon. They already do full carbon cyclo-cross tubular wheels.
  2. Sounds like it could be one of these: 1. Seat post clamp has gone soft, if so, get a new one, but get one with a bolt and not a quick release. 2. Grease in there somewhere, if so, clean it and then put in some carbon assembly compound.
  3. This is just out of interest. I wanna see where our little SA market is compared to the international guys...
  4. From what i heard last night, i am not taking in half of what i should be when i race or train. Thanks Collin, looking forward to using the stuff. I have heard good things...
  5. Hey This thread below may help... it has some sound hubber advice https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=26526&KW=Show+Bike The Medscheme guys are all on the new G4, same as the ag2r guys. BH also has a 5.4kg limited edition ULTRALIGHT G4, but it's pricy...
  6. The BH Boys will be there... Leaving Fri morn, stayin' at Merry Pebs as well.
  7. It's a sticker set, so you cut the yellow off, and you have a custom set of Corima's to match your red bike... You still have the red of the '+' on the stickers. But the bare 12k weave matches the bike very well... plus the carbon hubs
  8. You can have it with: Ultegra SL, Chorus, Dura-ace, Record or Sram Red. Prices range from R44K - R78K. You can get the same frame, without nano-tech carbon, for less. Nano-tech just allows them to make it lighter but as strong.
  9. The picture does not do it justice... We got a new shipment of bikes about an hour ago, and this is one of them. 2009 BH Global Concept G4 SL... you will be seeing more of these in blue next year.
  10. Nice to know we bring in a bike brand that can make the same TT bike in two very different ways... One way some people love, the other way other people love...
  11. Well, these girls are on BH, so i'll try make a plan... lol
  12. The only change is a new fork, which is taken from a design made 2 years ago for BH when Liberty Seguros was on the first generation GC Aero... But then again it's not the first thing on it BH has pioneered (intergrated seat post)... This fork suits the bike really well.
  13. I prefer this... it's the one i am on
  14. What do you all think of this? *Same top of the range Global Concept design as used by AG2R... *New limited edition paint job (USA only) *New AERO fork *SRAM RED TT kit... very hot!
  15. Corima brake pads are made specifically for carbon rims. Most of the pro tour bunch uses them, no matter what wheel brands they use. Corima even make them for some well-known brands, to be re-branded and sold on... check out more info at www.corima.com
  16. Great brakes! Some of our top end BH's come with them. Greg Minaar used (maybe he still does) a LTD edition set for down-hill. They tested these overseas last year against the other top end brakes and overall Formula came out tops. Braking power is very good... My best part is the feel. The levers are really nice and small, and the effort to brake is minimal. I have used them for over 2 years now.
  17. Ya, I heard about this. The guy is obviously in a different league? To change shoes and carry on is impressive, but to go on a win the race? is Legendary! How many pro tour riders would have just called it a day? How many recreational cyclists would have also called it a day?
  18. Corima is well worth considering... Hand made from start to finish, by a company that makes specialist parts for Airbus as well. Great quality, strength and performance. PM me if you need more info... there is loads.
  19. Done 2 Epics (ok, 1 and a half due to injury) on a Hard tail and a Fizik Gobi... so these are really good. Have a look at Specialized though, bacuase they take into account not all saddles are 'one size fit all' plus they make some really decent saddles...
  20. I hope so Sean... i have been training hard enough. I have had 3 months to go from cyclist to duathlete' date=' so we will see what happens. Rimini is on the coast, so let's hope the altitude training in JHB will count for something [/quote'] Swift i have seen you ride i have not seen you run but by the looks of it that engine is always tuned Good luck Thanks Turtle...

You sounds really good... i hope you are after that comment. Ya, well as said above, i race in the A-bunch from time to time... the rest of the time i do duathlons (3rd in my age cat at SA's). Apart from that i just enjoy the sport i own a cmpany in... Thanks everyone else, i will try my best over there. Been training like a slave. Just got back from the Land Rover G4 Challenge... waiting to hear if i made the top20 to go to the next stage.
  23. Here it is with Corima Aero Clinchers on, so i can train. Also the option for races if the winds starts humpin' a bit...
