  1. Stick with discs for epic... just make sure youget a good brand and have spare pads. I have used formula ORO for the past 2 years and no problems.
  2. One of the new styles from Bolle. They have loads of new styles and ranges... for all sports. I have these with a 'modulator' lense, which is like the transition lense on Oakley that changes according to the light.
  3. What do you think of these hubbers? Good looking, great to ride with and they not 'me too' sunglasses
  4. I wanna see Chris Froome work his magic... the boy has so much talent, just spends all his time working for others. His time will come though, watch this space!
  5. Local stuff, seemed quite nice when i tried on the samples. Black is for MTB, so it don't get too dirty...
  6. This is a thanks to Red Rocket (cherry/ronel), for the cool design we will be sporting at the Epic this year. If you need kit designed, give her a shout. What do you think Hubbers?
  7. NANOTECHNOLOGY The new G4 frameset uses some of the most advanced technologies available in a bicycle to achieve an 860 gram weight. This is quite possibly the lightest production frame on the market and it has a lifetime warranty. BH achieves this magical blend of low-weight, great ride and toughness using Nanotechnology resins. The weakest areas in a traditional carbon-fiber component are the tiny spaces between the fibers that contain only resin. To radically improve strength and toughness in these critical areas, scientists have developed advanced resins containing microscopic carbon nanotubes. Carbon nanotubes are an array of carbon atoms arranged in a pattern of hexagons and pentagons. These structures can be manufactured in tubular shapes one billionth of a meter in diameter, hence the name nanotube. Carbon nanotubes have been called ?the strongest fiber that will ever be made?. Nanotubes have a strength-to-weight ratio orders of magnitude greater than steel.
  8. In that kit, you will be one of the best looking cyclists out there though... Etxeondo - Best Fit, Best Quality. You let me know if you think it's true? No-one has argued the fact so far...
  9. Epic - over all good event Amashova - aint so cool with a hang over (RWC final:) Highland Gate MTB Crater Cruise Argus Fast One 94.7 Winter Challenge (Road the MTB) - was cold last year though
  10. Well, we move the bikes we ride every 3 - 4 months as Demo bikes. They are basically new, and the price comes down a lot... from what they would cost normally... just to put the really high-end stuff in the reach of more people. FYI hubbers
  11. Big miles this week... you serious?? This close, for this sorta race, these last few days are about resting enough (NB - sleep) and keeping healthy (trying not to get sick). Most guys go to hard to close, and get there looking like they have done an epic already... That's IMO though
  12. Finally took a pic with the correct wheels on... It's our 2nd from the top frame, BH Global Concept G3 (nanotech) - built with new FSA K-force cranks, ceramic BB, FSA plasma bars, full Dura-ace, and Corima Aero+ Wheels... next party trick is to start 'pimping' it up and shedding some grams... Current bike weight (as it stands) = 7.29 kgs

    Sram Red

As far as i know, it's a 'bling' Sram Force really. Looks cool and is slightly ligher... comes on our top end BH G4. Same bike ag2r are on... HOT!
  14. Most of the things you own are sold with a hint of 'marketing bulls**t' mate. If it wasn't who knows what we would be riding in or on... But, there is truth in it, and it ain't for weight saving... if you want that, take some stickers off your frame
  15. This shirt retails for R1261. It is the most expensive of our range.
  16. I know a few companies we can get stuff printed or embrioded on... if that helps?
  17. Can't post picture for some reason. Sorry Hubbers

  19. http://etxeondo.arista.es/en/novedadesid=1 Carbon fibre is antistatic-dissipative. The special conductive fibres absorb and dissipate electric charges produced and accumulated by the external environment or during activity. These jerseys breathe and regulate heat by speeding up the evaporation process of perspiration, slowing down the formation of humidity on the skin and keeping the temperature constant. The fibres protect the body from absorbing static energy, electrosmog and UV rays. NB - We have stock of Orange and Blue (The pink is by special order only Etxeondo Carbono jerseys, protect the skin from bacteria and pollutant dusts, eliminating the risk of annoying allergies. During physical activity this new carbon fibre fabric lowers the concentration of lactic acid in the muscles, increases blood circulation and oxygenates the cells.
  20. 1. Get a recovery drink or protein drink in your stomach within half an hour of finishing. I prefer to use a recovery drink with elecrolytes (spelling?) and then have a small protein drink when i go to bed as that is when it is absorbed best (while you sleep) 2. Stretch after you finish, and before you go to bed 3. Use a pair of those Rocket's recovery pants - they work! 4. Stay out of the sun 5. Get off your feet, maybe put them up for a bit in the afternoon 5. Drink small amounts of water all the time - DO NOT down a litre bottle and then think you good for the day. 6. Go get a product from Dischem called 'Recoup'. It's great and easy to take (pill). It also helps with muscle repair. 7. NB - If you are going to have massages during the race, have some now to get your legs used to it. It's really stupid when ppl think they can just go for a rub. Much like the training, your legs need to be used to it, otherwise they may react badly and feel like rock the next day. Worst case, you can damage your muscles if the person doing the rub is on a mission to give you a hard rub - anyone can give a hard rub, but you need an effective one!
