Jip, for that same reason I bought a 2 smoke Yamaha lawn mower and fired the garden services....

Space is not a problem, the intended space is however on the first floor of our house, so travelling up and down the stairs with a bike will be somewhat of one issue. I do however like the idea of spending the time on my bike on an indoor trainer, instead of another set-up. Decisions, decisions.

Always a difficult one - dont want to cut cost now, ending up paying more later. However, I bought a new bike two months ago so have to keep it tight. Hoping to get away at around R3000 - R4000.

Thanks for all the responses. I need something that I can get on even when I have only 30min available, especially in winter. I'm concerned that the setting up of the indoor trainer will become schlep, and I dont want to buy a 2nd bike. I can however use my wife's bike for this, but I'm on a large frame and hers is a small. How long does it take to set up an indoor trainer? I am leaning slightly more towards a spin bike as it is there and ready for use all the time, but not sure what to look for when buying one of these. What does a relatively decent one cost?

I was lucky enough to get a 2nd hand Thule Euroride at a good price - unfortunately it is in Johannesburg. What would be the best / easiest / cheapest way to get it to Cape Town? I am going through there in a couple of weeks when on holiday so I can pick it up, but was hoping to use it by then. Has anybody couriered something like this before and can give me an indication of the cost?
