  1. Im keen to ride. I dont have any knowledge of the area so I hope you know some routes. What Time?
  2. Hi, Ive just moved to constantia kloof and Im looking for a local MTB club or group rides from a LBS nearby. Does anybody know of people riding in that area?
  3. I live close by so I would be super keen to ride it if was open and safe.
  4. After my first visit to the MTN cycle park yesterday (which I enjoyed, the park is awesome), my friend and I returned to find that her car had been broken into. The car was in their parking lot about 10 metres from the door. The radio and our bags were taken. Apparently there is a car guard there but he was told to go home because it wasn't a busy day( this is the part that makes me mad, just because it wasn't busy, doesn't mean crime is not going to happen!). Just thought I should let the park users know that this happened and recommend that you keep an eye open when using the park. Also take as few things with you when visiting the park.
  5. thanks I was considering using 6061 Alu as I see that it is used for quite a few frames. This is for my final year project so I need to get my technical info right. I am designing a recumbent bicycle. The reason I asked about bending is because I thought It may be stronger to bent the tubes into shape rather than having lots of welds in may design.
  6. Thanks, Im researching the processes used to weld the frames together and how are the tubes bent to shape.
  7. can anyone help me today. thanks
  8. Hi Does anyone know of a someone that makes bike frames in JHB or PTA. I know of Morewood but they are in KZN and I am trying to find someone I can go and have a chat with. Thanks
  9. Hi Im designing a recumbent bicycle for a land speed record attempt as part of a university project. I was wondering if anyone on the hub has a recumbent bike or knows of someone who has one. I would like to see one in real life to get a better ideal of what I must design. Thanks.
  10. Spray this on your wall as a warning
  11. Anyone know who stocks these in SA, Continental Mountain King Tubeless 2.4.
  12. Thanks for the help. Turns out that the rims are tubeless so I only had to remove the valves. Alot simplier than I thought it would be. Thinking about trying out using normal tyres as tubeless. Any recomendations on which slime works the best. Mr T2008-11-09 09:26:33
  13. Thanks. Got a wheelset the other day with a conversion but needing new tyres. Cant afford the ust tyres now,so just wanted to make sure that I would not be destroying the conversion if I used normal tyres and tubes in the meantime.
