  1. What a joke! Contador cleared of charges. Let's hope the uci has the balls to take him down. Cycling has such little credibility left. Very sad.
  2. yup, thats what i assume too!
  3. please please take some pics and get info on pedals with power meters built in...
  4. terminator. first and second were cool, third was a waste of time Matrix, who could top the original one?
  5. Hi WW, very nice wheels. Enjoy and thanks for all the pics Thys
  6. I can see this thread heading only one way!! I'm getting the popcorn and waiting for the action.
  7. Li-pos are very dangerous, but are fine if you use them correctly. Like most things I guess. They dont like to be over charged (which shouldn't happen if you use the correct charger), or under discharged, (which shouldn't happen as your driver should switch the light off before this happens), as well as being punctured or pierced, (which should happen, cause one should just not do that!!)
  8. DT: morning light has levels 1 to 5, like the rev 3 you have. level 1 - 15-20 hours plus level 5 - not sure but I think about 2 hours I use it for morning training, but one like this did the trans last year and the report back was exceptional. I also have the "Cube" which I use mainly for road riding. End covers on - 3mm perspex laser cut to size with internal engraving On the bike. All photos taken at ISO 80, f3, 4seconds. Very nice beam for the road. (quite direct hot spot with nice side spill - remember the optics can be customised and changed in a few minutes) the perspex lens also seems to divert side light over the controls of the bike which is also quite nice. 9. Hi Troutie, nice of you to stop by!! I smiled when I saw that comment as well. I do wish you every success and that you "coin" it BIG.. Just doing my bit to help the budding light builders out there, and what better example than this one.. I agree, the work into evey light takes just so much time so it's not extremely lucrative, but for a good mate here and there (in my case), it's ok. do you sell build kits, I could help you maybe sell here on the hub (as you can see, there is some interest), you may just have to sharpen the pencil a little as we only earn RANDs here in SA, not the mighty POUND. let know if you are keen, and all the best with your light adventure. Thys
  10. plentip, thanks for the nice comments. will consider and let know. Indigo kid - nothing could be further from the truth, LED's put out huge amounts of heat and one has to try and get rid of all that heat by using heat sinks etc to disipate it. hence alu casing and cooling fins etc. the switch is a momentary switch. the different levels are controlled by the driver (brain) inside the casing which in programable and customisable depending on your needs. Its a very neat piece of equipment.. very expensive though. at about R300 it doesn't come cheap.
  11. caad4 - thanks, it takes quite a bit of time to make, not really worth my while as a business venture. dirtbreath - I sourced all the parts from various places, details in thread IK - I sourced my batteries from DX. Build up my own battery packs. Li-ion's. The maxflex is a boost driver so anything less than about 18V drives this light nicely. I run the pack in a pouch below the stem or sometimes on the stem, just taped with insulation tape or valcrow.
