  1. thanks for correcting me. G
  2. They don’t mKe noise. Have it checked out. Christiaan is here so he should be able to tell you who your closest dealer is that can assist. G
  3. True... But are you putting a tv up that’s able to also display all that extra resolution. Most of us will build a pain cave with something like a 30odd inch lower spec tv... which can’t display that higher resolution anyhow. Also higher resolution means you stream (request) a higher stream resolution. Is you link good enough for that. If the tv is bigger in the man cafe, of a better quality... and also be used for say TdF via say RedBull tv... then sure. Also remember you don’t run Zwift or TrainerRoad on your Apple TV, you only cast to it from the phone or pad. G
  4. As Pat from Pyga says... he loves designing bikes that’s fun to ride all day, or give it to a top of the crop racer and you have a podium winner at the same time. In the end get yourself into something that will make you smile doing what you love. G
  5. R3200 https://www.takealot.com/apple-tv-32gb-4th-generation/PLID46989298?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrrmXu_r76QIVSLDtCh2rLglrEAQYASABEgJnGPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds and that is for a new one, this is for a pain cafe... get a older one, sure they be available online, 2nd hand. G
  6. also you connect the trainer to your phone, run the Zwift or TrainerRoad app on the phone, and then just cast the output/screen from the phone to the AppleTv. G
  7. Sub... Split this problem up, first get zwift working on phone, connecting to Kickr, to make sure phone works with Kickr, use the Kickr app first, then after that try Zwift. def works, have loads of friends that do this. after this decide what you want to use to cast to the TV, for samsun, ye smart TV, but be careful, not all "smart" tv's are as smart as they need to be, make sure in store your phone connects easy enough to tV, otherwise you need to invest in a device that does what the apple tv would do, that recieve and send signal to tv. Nice phone of the Apple TV, you also get Apple music, so you have tunes to listen to also, or watch a program, or stream RedBul TV. G
  8. ... and since you pairing with Apple phone or Samsung phone you don't need a ANT+ dongle, connecting to the Apple device, just use BTLE, if you want to connect to the Android device, Android devices/Samsung phones include ANT+ receiver. so now you also don't have to battle with Windows. TrainerRoad works perfectly on both Samsung and Apple. G
  9. ye pairing a samsung phone with a apple tv, can't comment, but once done.... or if you on a iPhone then this is so the perfect setup, use a low end apple tv, a 30inch old cheapo computer screen connected to it, and run app on your iphone or iPad. G
  10. ... this is a Microsoft problem interfacing with BTLE, not laptop, fix for MS in this case it ANT+ if you deployed a linux OS you will find problem disappears. I use a MAC and happiness connecting to BTLE and ANT, at the same time. G
  11. and if anything like what discovered when I wanted to buy my watch,... you pay full price now... and after a "period" if you did jump through all the discovery hoops, tick boxes etc then you get $$$ back. G
  12. you can call them, but they will want you to drop it off at a local store thats a client of their's... they don't deal directly with the public/consumer. G
  13. Hi MTB-Home Your unit will be send down to Cpt to Stages there, They the only people that have the required HW to test the unit. G
  14. ... if you were having friction loss then the Kickr at the back would be probably displaying less watt than the stages... as the bearing would cause not all power to get to the PM. your Stages / as it works of metal deviation would have reported a higher number. think as per our offline conversation, have that Stages PM tested, could be faulty. now that we've spoken about the basic hugh number discrepancy, note, they will never be the same... they will be close, and thats as far as comparing the different power readings should be compared. other than that... it's only a measure that only you should use to measure your own effort output and base your own training on. Think the biggest mistake all of us make is wanting to compare our power output/ftp with other people. use it as a tool to only measure yourself, and base your own training on. G
  15. The trick is pic one power meter and use only that. it's all about getting a fttp on a power meter and then doing workouts using that pwoermeter and make the workout blocks based on that. G
  16. 100% spot on... from the first day I interfaced with Christiaan, owner of : Wahoo Fitness SA ... Ikhambi ... Buycycle, never looked back, good product made great by the local support. I've got a friend thats been using my one bit the last couple of weeks during lockdown and he's indicated as soon as I'm back he will be buying himself a unit also. G
  17. this is not a problem with the Kickr's. Christiaan totally stands behind his product, no matter when where you bought it. G
  18. except if all bikes domestically is red... G
  19. .. you must be friends with NSBB... and in his world only color allowed black... but I have heard all red goes faster G
  20. ditto... every part on my bikes are there by choice, by conscious decision, nothing just happened to get on them. G
  21. ... ye but in the end you're building a weight wheenie bike because it's you wanting to, just because... and you know why you did it. I've just seen to many people wanting and doing... build one, and then cry when things don't last and cost 2arms and a kidney to replace, not thinking, you build a top of the line bike, that is not designed to last 10 000km, but rather 1000 as fast as possible, in the end anyone can do what he wants, just know what you doing and why. G As per: (this is the signature on my personal emails. You have the obligation to inform one honestly of the risk, and as a person you are committed to educate yourself to the total risk in any activity! Once informed & totally aware of the risk, every fool has the right to kill or injure themselves as they see fit!
  22. think your post is spot on, you're either building a race bike where every gram counts, and parts failing is not your biggest concern... as you either a serious racer or sponsored... or you a joe from the street, that wants multi use, and dependability where the last gram is not that critical to you.... G
  23. Not sure where everyone is getting the bare frame weight for the MoBu... A target weight have been communicated by Pyga, not an official final weight, stand to be corrected. G
