Export from Bryton, upload (from PC) to Strava?
Ive tried everything. Uploading directly from Brytons site, exporting it to my PC and uploading to Strava. Nothing worked... Anyway it was just a chilled ride, so not to worried about it... I was trying out the gps tracks feature on my bryton for the first time, so it might have somehting to do with that. But still cant understand why all the readings will change from Brytons site to Strava...
You can also delete the ride if you really want. I'm sitting with the same issue; my actual ride was 93.8km, 3h15 but @ the 1h37 mark I stopped my Garmin because I had coffee and then when I left I started it again and "lapped" it. My Garmin shows the entire ride, GarminConnect (other logging software) shows the full distance BUT with a 1h37 "moving time" and 3h15 "ride time." So frustrating because it appears that despite the entire route being on my Garmin, when I uploaded it, only the GPS data of my first "lap" was recorded and the time of the overall ride.
Just joined the group and I see there are now 37 of us.
I flagged the ride and marked it as private so it does not show up in any of the KOM stats or anything. On Bryton's website everything is perfect. Distance, time, everything. As soon as I upload to strava something goes haywire.
Thanks Rouxtjie!!!
must say - i hardly see any car kom's...but then very little of my ride is on tar, and when it is, it is on popular climbs so people probably flag it
P.S...all we all part of the hub group on strava? - i am
how do I find the group on Strava?
I am 1.87m tall, and I was inbetween a Large and XLarge on my new TREK. Took the Large and its perfect. I think at your length a Large would be just fine!
I also bought one from Chain Reaction a while back and its a very good place to start. I can do most of the work with the tools that came with it, and only needed to buy 1 or 2 extras on top op if. For that price it is a bargain
if you search on it the products do come up, but ya its an epic fail. Almost look like it was still a work in progress and someone launched the new site...
Does anybody know where I can get a longer skewer so that my new bike with a rear through axle can fit onto my Indoor Trainer?
The standard skewer that came with the TacX trainer has an axle length of 160mm and the skewer on my Trek has an axle length of 200mm.
Can anybody help me or give me ideas on how I can make this work?
Looks good Jason. I think it will work much better this way, especially now that you dont have to connect to the Internet to download your rides...
Ive already received my bday and xmas presents for the foreseeable future...

If you are new to cycling also remember to budget for shoes, clothing, helmet etc... That can easily add R2-R3k to your total spend
I am selling my Silverback Ventura at the moment if you are interested. You cannot beat silverback at value for money...
PM me if you want more details
Depends on training. You can accomplish a lot in 12 months... Is there any other results available through the year?
I am looking at buying a new bike rack as I still have the Thule Express, which causes quite a lot of damage to the bikes as they are so close together.
I am looking at the following: https://www.buycycle.co.za/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=2446
Does anybody have any experience with these racks?
Isn't this idea very similar to Strava?
It is... I've had mine muddy / wet a few times and no probs. That's cool that they upgraded you though
Supposed to be yes. Jason at ballistic said he thinks water might have gone it through the usb connection point, so just always make sure that it is closed properly
Nice - my dad bought one of these a few weeks ago - what did you pay for it?
Got in on special for R27,999
My first bicycle was the Silverback Ventura, and I have had no problems with it. Forget about the sticker on the bike and buy the best specked one.
I had to return my 35 due to it getting wet. They replaced it with the 40 at a small fee, so I think the 35 might be discontinued.
Thanks Tankman,
Ya thats most likely what I would do. Just thought I can save a bit of money using the 9 speed
anybody?
I just bought myself a 29er with a 10 speed cassette. I have a 26" wheel with a 9 speed cassette which I use on my indoor trainer. Can I use this on my new bike or am I going to mess something up? I will obviously be careful with shifting etc not to take it to either the largest or smallest cog at the back.
