Hi all. My partner and I may not be able to ride trail this year. Anyone interested?
  3. This guy is most likely the same guy who used to throw thumb tacks in the cradle. His identity is known to WBro of Think Bike and having a description of his car will be easy to ID. Just be sure to lay those charges if you find him
  4. Hi All Does any one have any comments regarding service levels at Extreme Lights. I am trying to resolve an issue with them however have found that the follow up service is not what it should be. I've been dealing with Charl.

Hi All. Is there perhaps anyone that can assist me with a lift from either PE or Jbay to Willowmore on Friday afternoon. I was supposed to leave with mates tomorrow morning however need to stay in Joburg for work. I will not have any baggage or bike stuff. I will send that with my mates. Any chance of a lift. Can pay

Some advice for day two. There is a reason they say take three liters of water or fluid between water point one and two. If you are an average to back end rider there is a real possibility that in 40 deg tempretures that you could run out. Make sure you have enough. Other than that if you are not going out to win it or better a previous time, enjoy every moment and take the time to take it all in.
  8. I noticed that all the intersections coming down Main Reef Road were not manned by JMPD. Probably due to the quick route change. I also noticed that all these intersections were manned be TB Marshals. They cant be at two places at once. IMHO, taking into account that the route changed due to the flooding, both JMPD and TB Marshals did a very good job in handling things. At that left hand turn in Soweto by the shopping centre I saw a TB Marshal standing there on his own indicating to the cyclists to turn left. There was no JMPD with him. Would you face angry traffic in the middle of Soweto on your own? Thank you Mr. TB Marshal!!!! My cap goes off to all that took part yesterday. From the cyclists, to the organisors, to TB Marshals, to ER24 and JMPD.
  9. I'm glad that PTA has finally got a road race. Yes there were issues at intersections but for the most part I felt safe. Road closure should be considered. Nice route I thought. Better sign boards needed too.
  10. So very sad to hear. RIP Ed and condolences to his friends and family
  11. I'll have to take a picture and post tomorrow. The components are: fox forks, fox back shock, mavic wheels, I'll double check and post again on all actual component numbers. I think the year model is 2006.
  12. I came across this thread on the recent posts tab
  13. I actually joined for another reason altogether, but thanks for noticing. You can find the actual reason for my joining in a post made earlier about advice needed on my mountain bike.
  14. I have to agree the littering is disgusting. As far as metro is concerned, donT we pay taxes for that sort of thing?
  15. Hi all. I need some advice please. I have a raleigh dula suspension mountain bike which belonged to my late Dad. The group set is XTR. The frame size is to big for me so I would like to get a new frame and move to components over to the new frame. On enquiry at a few cycle shops I have been told that he new XTR is vastly different to the new stuff and I might as well buy a new bike complete. Any advice or suggestions
