  1. take a saw-off shotgun with "growwe sout". and one real shell just in case. Surely it will teach them !

We need to start shooting back back - kill the f**kers.

They attack in groups. What if a whole bunch of cyclist stop and start to shoot at the would be criminals haha.

This is a f**ked up setup... don't know what to do.

fo too long its been MTB'ers dissing roadies that its too hectic on the roads etc. now its hectic both sides.

I'd rather face the traffic than a group of f**kers stealing my bike or more..

    ITS BAD in AFRICA... ai.

  2.

I love Burry Standers tweet: "the guy who got busted for dhea in the us should move to the rsa.we have our own system it seems. it gona get hard racing in sa "

Hear hear! Someone who snapped out of it! We are so ingnorant and naive. With all the crime and stuff going on in SA, why would sport be clean ??

  3.

Its so easy to buy illegal drugs in SA' date=' its a joke! No wonder all the rugby guys look like monsters!

One can order any drug out there and get delivered within a few days.  This includes EPO and the works....

If the pro peloton is still using drugs (with the latest busts) , why on earth would a big part of SA elite bunch - MTB,track and road not take them ? also in the older cats - where image is everthing and pride to kept by any means necessary....

We have a lighter doping control system due to the cost involved. Easier to use drugs in the "off-season" to build good form and take a break and race in season - riding "clean". Or micodose like the "new" trend in the pro peloton is.

    so now for popcorn ....

stir the pan a bit , add fuel to the fire enjoy the fire!

Now that you have implicated / insinuated at the existence of the monster rugby players I really hope you have reported your suspicion to the SA Institute for Drug Free Sport. It is now your civil responsibility to do so to back up your claim.

haha - Sorry to hurt your feelings.

I'm at the heart of Rugby in SA  - Stellenbosch. If you ever had the opportunity to be close to action in the mix with the rugby teams / under 21's , sevens and the lot training at Stellenbosch , gyming in the same gym as I am and know a few people in the fitness industry / and sport line. Off all sports Rugby is the one where its clearly obvious to anyone with no background info on PED's or the likes to see guys exploding in size from one season to the next.

Not sure of you ever tried to built muscle, but that does not happen overnight...

A few examples of people who doubled in size on season to the next - or lets just say "improved alot".... (not saying they doped just stating they gained a sh*te lot in short time...)

    >Pierre Spies

    >Derick hougaart (back then)

    > Percy / Monty montgomory

    just to name a few...

Can you imagine with all the rugby going on and NO positives ever.... seems a bit strange...

once in a while a guy test positive for cocaine and sh*t like that...

just face the fact that its a pro sport, with lots of shine and cash at stake so why would anyone not cheat ??

  5. what is recommended is to take turns. Use the chair for a while then a few hours/min on the swissball visa versa.

Dont just sit on the ball the whole day. You need to start off slowly.

Do the ball thing in the mornings when your still using proper technique later in the day you may become lazy and hurt your back from not sitting upright.

  6. R60K prize for 1st place finisher ? sh*t and the Argus was like 20K for the pro's...

No wonder there was doping involved. A untested race with such a price up for grabs...

  7.

From News 24..... Since when is English the language of the enemy.... Or since when is the English the enemy.....

    http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/AWB-members-gather-for-funeral-20100409

"I'm here to bury my leader' date='" said the man who refused to be named.

"Things will follow in the coming days, not during the funeral but afterwards."

When the man was asked to repeat his comments in English, he replied: "Ek praat nie die taal van die vyand nie [i don't speak the language of the enemy']."

dont take it out of context...

these guys (awb) are against the black government (who is also English and all the other languages - but against Afrikaans.) The English (back in the day) were the enemy who killed lots of farmers and SA'cans.

So cant blame the guy for saying the English are also the Enemy.

Thats not the modern English SA'cans ..... he is just gatvol for the non understanding blacks acting like they dont understand a word of Afrikaans , then replying in English(?).

    give them a break

cheers up - this is a cycling forum afterallBig%20smile

  8. I would rather worry about my own safety in the near future @ home and in SA than about cycling safety....

Unfortunately we are fighting a loosing battle against the government. Cycling / road safely lies with them in the end.... and they cant even govern this country - never mind care about road safety and cycling..

    Sad but true

  9.

getting some love from Epic organizers ??

So iis is now the " Cape Love Epic" ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

Epic hasn't treated him well over the years. This year he (Evens) had a real shot at it (More of a Burry and Sauser fan) , but his partner was a bit of a handbrake to it... thought it would be a good setup

anyhow - better luck next year.

No overall colors but some love from organizers (in the form of a biker) LOL

  10. wasn't this the motor biker (?) that got hit by a fleeing taxi driver ?

He tried to loose the cops and drove into other cars, then ran away. (our cops are too fat to chase) - killing the biker.

he / taxi driver = 17 years old

    News 24...

  11. some people always think they are above the law and think what they are doing is the right thing and anyone else is WRONG.

you get them in all aspects of life.

Road users - cars, motor bikes etc

even get them in aircraft - Microlights , light fixed wing aircraft and choppers.

Some people break the law, believe what they are doing is correct and anyone trying to help then stay safe or get back in line is wrong and a reason fro them to freak out.

    Its crazy...

  12.

morne1 what do your weight ? Not offending you - just asking...

Reason being - I've heard from lots of guys - MTB'ers - that they also have problems with KCNC stems and Handlebars on their MTB's - but these guys are 90kg plus.

I'm also riding KCNC on MTB. Its been more than 1year and a half and no problems. Been riding lots of hard terrain and really put lots of stress onto the bar and stem.

    I'm 73kg.

on road it might be a different story though - not the same impact on the bar and stem - except if your doing off road riding with your road bike

    I'm 87kg

Ok, dont know what the acclaimed max weight on these bars are etc etc. Bar are not suppose to break / fail. And LBS should give better service than that...

but being close to 90Kg I'd go with something more durable and heavier, rather than lightweight KCNC stuff. Makes no sense as one can easily drop 1kg and it will cost you nothing. Big%20smile

    My 2c worth

    good luck

Yes in future ill be sure to race to work' date=' get here before anyone else then waste my time sitting on the hub. [/quote']

do you read all your news on the hub ?? The hub is not a reliable source... for future reference Wink

  15. jislaak, some people can really go off on something. Get out more often and chill out.

Hope you all had your say. Nothing we do or say can change anything in the end. Its gone and dusted, nothing will come from this...

As I said - no harmful intentions to the family or friends were intended.

  16. Dear Dangle

My comment did not target anyone and with no intention to take anything away from the rider or his family.

If you see my comments in context and at the time - you will notice that it was still very early in the day (with not a lot of info available on any news site or forum).

My intention was not to state that he did dope and accuse him of doping, but just to raise the question. No one can be ignorant and naive about doping in cycling and young guys dieing because of this. Its happened before and will happen again.

Sorry for not knowing the guy's history and medical history etc.

Did not mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Who would be so sick to disrespect someone who had died ? This was not the intention, and if you thought so, then I would recommend reading something with a lighter attitude and not jumping to negative conclusions to quickly.

No one would say something as disrespectful, to anyone or his friends and family in time of death and sadness.

  17. cs600 is enough. can even go for the cs400 or even cs200. Garmin can have too much info - some of us dont want all that.

What do you want out of it ?

    Obvious

Normal stuff - like oddo, speed etc

    Extra

    Heart rate

    Cadance

    Power meter

GPS giving you Plotting / route profile / altitude etc.

For me Heart rate is enough, cadence also help. If you don't know how to train with power and all the other extras then I'd say its useless.
